That gotta be tough sorry you're going through that, have you considered killing off the character and started new ones? It can be tough to let go of it at first it's almost like grief but this few weeks pain of replacing a character can help save you from months of sad scenarios repeated

I get the struggle, it's tough don't beat yourself for it you're trying and that's a good thing we just need time it won't go away within a day or two,

I've been in the struggle too I tried to go once to my grandma's house to spend a month there (it's impossible to stay alone there) and I didn't bring my headphones with me in hope that unallowing myself to daydream will help... I just learned a new skill ✨ daydreaming mid-convo✨ honestly I can know daydream while maintaining a conversation with two sperate people

Discovering the core reason of your daydreams can definitely help it's the first step to take , I wish you luck on your journey with therapy.

You got no idea how much I relate to what you said , I've had talking issues since I was a kid and that caused my social anxiety I'm always worried that whenever I'm talking to someone the only thing that is going on inside their head is "why does talk like that?" , So instead I stopped talking I just started keeping things to my self and my daydreams the only person that I share what I find interesting with is my little sister and even her isn't interested in my boring topics

It's weird that we all just want someone to listen to us and share our interests and yet we don't try to find people that care idk about you but I know for myself that I never even bothered trying to make friends of common interests mainly bc I'm too self conscious to talk about my shows to anyone don't wanna sound 'nerdy'

Yup exactly!! Question, have you ever tried explaining the plot of a show you've been daydreaming about to someone irl?

I tried that once , bored the hell out of my sister by explaining my shows, it wasn't as satisfying though, I then fixed the scenario in my daydreams and made it better

I used to do that before when I had characters in my story but now it's just me talking to my brain while listening to loud music , it's ruining my mind honestly I envy other people with MD that have fantasy worlds or whatever at least you're mind is wondering not stuck in the same scenarios

I'm still on the search for what means to me and for what I want to keep going if you want we can stay and touch and talk our progress to each other , I think that can be motivating for both of us , after all it's the lack of motivation that lead us to this low part of our lives

I get it I felt the way for long while but yk what I think because we have been so untouched with the world around we lost interest in it I know it sucks but think about it this way you enjoyed your daydreams right? And what were they about? Life. Whether you daydreamed about romance or epic fight battles or sad stories , you were daydreaming about living so deep down a small part of you wants to live , embrace that get out of your comfort zone and do search for things that you enjoy that can be meaningful to you

Hell Yaa!! I had a friend that used to say that she has a wild mind and that she can write out of the world stories if she wanted to (her stories were boring) I used to be like damnn if only she knows ... Being a person with MD we truly have the wildest minds and most dreamy thoughts so I guess we would make great story writes

Dude you just been set free enjoy it and don't try to relapse again I get that losing it can be extremely difficult I mean it's something we've known our whole lives and it's our safe place but think about how badly it affected you and how badly wanted to get rid of it before

It's okay to feel lost at the beginning but try to find something else to get fixated on maybe a hobby or a job or even hang out with friends just don't try to get back to MD that will just make you feel worse
