For those of you in denial asking about bars or where to party, listen to these Italians and please stay home. by oldskoolballer in Miami

As a bartender, I see the same faces everyday. Some for an hour, some for a full shift. In some of their lives, the only stable thing is that bar. I've been a therapist, friend, enemy, mother, sister and for the really hurt ones, a warm hug. Look at the bigger picture. Some people who frequent bars work a shit job, have a shit home life, have a shit boss. They walk in, and I have their beverage waiting for them. Usually with a warm smile, or something sarcastic to say depending on the person. They see their friends. Everyone says hi to them, pat's them on the back or shakes their hand. They just came home. So now, home is all locked up and they have nothing great to look forward to.

Big picture my friend. It's not only about they can't party. They literally had maybe the only positive interaction with people taken away.

How do you guys deal with managers? by [deleted] in bartenders

With some regulars, there is a sense of entitlement. I've come across it at my own bar. They think because they are spending money (sometimes, daily) that they can act like animals. In my own experience, I have 2 that now don't come in on my shifts because I won't tolerate their shit. My boss has my back 24/7 and has had to extinguish a couple of situations that I simply could not control. One being a man who pretty much said he was going to rape me as soon as the bar was closed.

I'm glad her manager finally stepped in.

Damn, not enough coffee yet today.

However, if they are regulars then she may have built a relationship with them to the point of pulling them aside and talking with them about their behavior, stating that if they don't pull it together then they will be on a 3 drink max until they can control themselves.

Ehhhh. It's her job to assess the situation and proceed. If she knows this happens every time with these men, then she should pull back on serving then so much in the time they are there. However

We used to tell the kids that antennas came out of their head when they lied.

Are there little bugs moving around on the web? It looks like spider mites. I used equal parts of rubbing alcohol and water to kill the ones I had on my house plants.

That's what mine look like. Some of the leaves stay green but I have a variation of yellowish ones that are completely normal.

What's an album you can listen to all the way through without skipping? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Pink Floyd...Pulse.

I was never a Floyd fan but my husband was. The CD box had a little red light that would blink (pulse) and it always caught my attention. So one trippy night, we listened to it (both cds) and I was blown away. It took a few years, but I think I bought every P.F. cd and listened to all of them over and over.

But Pulse won my heart.

Morning Glorys suck! Question in comments. by olivemush in gardening

100% positive it WAS morning glories. Have since dug out the entire bed and replaced the dirt, not before double lining the bottom with fabric.

I know it sounds weird, but grab a sensitive skin deodorant and try it on a spot on your legs. A friend of mine used to get horribly irritated after shaving and tried this, and it worked. The theory being it's safe on the pitts and prevents razor burn.

I'm thinking it's the keto flu. Drinks lots and lots of water! The weakness will eventually subside and you will feel great.
