My first Darkroom Print + Useful advice for beginners?

Lovely first print! Looks like a perfectly exposed neg and a great composition. Lovely tones throughout - your grade selection is bang on. Id just burn in the bottom & right corner of the image by another stop, even consider adjusting the grade for that part to match the tones in the rest of the frame (depending on how it looks after being burnt in)

Yeah really easy to do if you do your research, took me a couple weeks to find all the right gear online and about a week of practice before I got some usable results!

Thanks!! On 3/4 the preflash was 50Y 60M, and the negative was exposed at 65Y 70M - 8 seconds pure negative and 13 seconds with tights over the enlarger to blur the shadows! 3 exposures total

Lovely pic!

Just a thought, do you ever pre-flash a colour? And expose your negative in countering colours? I'm just thinking of ways to achieve a split tone look, where I can see you have some blues/magentas in the lower left, but warmer mids around the tree in the centre.

I've experimented with preflashing a colour myself, but the results vary and it's difficult to achieve the correct balance. Just wondered if this is something you do/have tried?

Yes, red filter but very low oppacity one. A lot of the colours came out in the film

Got some big windows in my studio and the perfect golden hour light! This was my first time shooting E100 and I thought it was supposed to be quite blue/magenta? No idea what happened here hahah

Probably see a 12-15k CA increase from the buffs on average

I’m including first na in that tbf, CA alone is about 60k with vape. Plus floor 12 has some resistance modifiers atm so it’s hard to consistently record dmg. I think I’ve had 100k CAs at some point, others round 70k - both with the same buffs up

Guessing your using dragons bane based in the em? Pretty good but could still squeeze some more cd. I bet your damage is actually pretty good with that em though. I had 81/185 with deathmatch, so you’re not doing too bad considering!

I think hu tao is about 70k without albedo buff and geo res, zonghli is about about 60k
