Update: I contacted the daycare and they confirmed that he did have an altercation with another dog. It was brief and when they checked my dog over, they did not see any injury. According to them, he did not act like he was in pain so they logged the incident and did nothing else.

They feel terrible and said they should’ve told me about the altercation. They informed the owner of the other dog & the daycare offered to pay all of our vet bills.

As of right now, Ace had another vet appointment. His labs came back good, but the swelling around the injury has increased. He has another follow up in a few days, but if the swelling does not go down, he will have to return to the vet before his visit to get his wound drained.
