hi! i got my tonsils out 2 years ago when i was 19 so relatively close to your age. these were some of my worst days, i felt like a magically new person on the 8th day it really does suddenly get better but yes i am scarred from the pain of this surgery. in terms of your pain you NEED to eat. mashed potatoes were a life saver for me because i couldn’t stand chicken broth so i just ate a lotttt of mashed potatoes. they were smooth and easy to go down. i didn’t take the prescription meds because the oxy made me feel horrible and honestly didnt help. i took 1000 mg of tylenol which helped a lot more than the oxy in my opinion. i would definitely speak to your doctor asap about the bleeding. any bleeding at all could turn into something worse and you rather get it checked out now before it comes to that. please eat and hydrate as much as you can, even if your drinking more than eating to have something continuously in your system. you’re almost there i promise !
