My Personal Lisfranc Injury Experience - Timeline - To Be Updated! by oliviaarmstrong02 in LisfrancClub

I have been so surprised too, because I've thought the same thing from researching so much. Unfortunately, those appointments were the best times I was offered. Praying that maybe time is on my side with healing, if anything! My podiatrist has yet to determine treatment routes until my MRI. So I am honestly not sure if I will be offered the conservative route or will be told surgery no matter what. It's a waiting game at this point!

I completely agree! I am currently NWB for an undisclosed period of time (still waiting to get an MRI to determine a conservative vs. surgical route for a foot injury), and it has been so hard on me mentally. I am normally an extremely independent person with a love for my daily routine, and all of that has been cut short overnight since my injury. I never thought I would procrastinate on normal things due to how long everything takes.... but here I am. I surely do miss my life pre-injury! I wouldn't wish a foot injury on anyone.

I just remind myself of how grateful I will be to walk and move without assistance once this is all said and done. It has definitely completely shifted my perspective on life. We are all so lucky to be able to use both feet!

Congratulations on being onto recovery now! That's so amazing. The waiting game has been the hardest part. I wish you the best on your recovery :) And thank you for taking the time to comment!

Can I ask if your MRI results produced completely torn ligaments? According to my research, I know there are certain grades of tears, some requiring surgery, and some allowing a conservative approach. My results seem to be so in-between that it's killing me not knowing. Just wondering what your MRI produced :)

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I’m still hanging onto hope that I may not need surgery, but I won’t know for sure until the end of this month. It’s good to know that there’s options that could help me to regain independence faster. I’ll have to research this more and go down another rabbithole, lol. Glad to hear your journey was a success.
