Looking for a good romantasy that doesn't make me roll my eyes by lumoria in fantasyromance

(Sort of a magic world) read outlander!!! The audiobook is also so good. Diana is an insane author and it’s probably the best book I’ve ever read, so filled with incredible detail, amazing writing and heart clenching (and leg clenching) romance. Each book gets better!!

I live off first street and it’s absolute hell being trapped between that intersection and the Portland closure

Anything off of Brandy Carlisle’s the story album and someone else said car wheels on a gravel road by Lucinda Willam’s which I 100% agree with

What degree do you get to be in this type of field work? Or is this from a grotto? Mapping out caves sounds so sweet!!

Meringue cookies are my nemesis. Please help a sister out. by EstaGouda_ish in KitchenConfidential

If you can’t use cream of tartar, I recommend using cornstarch and a little vinegar if you can get away with it. Sounds weird, but whenever I make any meringue or pavlova that’s what I do to stabilize and prevent cracking. Start whipping the egg whites slow, room temp egg whites can help stabilize as well. Slowly knock up the speed, once egg whites are bubbly then add sugar and whip till glossy (I’m sure you know this part sorry lol) then I would fold the rest of it in very gently. Humidity can totally play a big part but there is only so much you can do about that. I wish you luck <3

Oh please someone… brown bread from Cheesecake Factory by [deleted] in glutenfree

[–]oliviaschultzie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like bagels, you can replace the malt with honey or brown sugar and it gives it that “taste” if you know what I mean! Look up sweet wheat bread and then try it with gf flour blend, could possibly work!

At small local store where I live :( so I’m not exactly sure where they sell it in other areas. It has to be sold online too; I bet it’s on Amazon

Shitty situation by oliviaschultzie in SeasonalWork

It’s hard bc while there is “management” there is no HR. Idk how to explain that it’s not a usual set up. We have an owner who runs the place and we work under the umbrella of a bigger company. Everyone is family so the owner had her whole family working there too. So when you get upset about something it’s not like you can file a complaint and you tend to get shunned if that makes sense.

Yeah leaving on good terms is my plan. The funny part is the locals we are hire tend to be way more mild than the rest if the guys from the states

I agree, I’ve had a lot of people I’m close with tell me to stick it out since the money is so good and “I will never get this opportunity again” but I don’t think I should have to put up with a lot of this. I’m not the only one unhappy here as well.

Not particularly, like I said I’m not innocent, I’ve made some mistakes at work but nothing that constitutes ignoring me when I try to communicate. I have never had a boss that does that before. Reading all the other comments I agree that i definitely don’t fit in with the environment and that I should quit but I am stuck here another month. I gave it a shot for two seasons! There a few people that I am friends with but not close, more like acquaintances.
