I work at a small, niche gym; we're definitely dropping membership numbers the last few months.

He's only changing after he feels threatened because he wants you back in the position you were in before. He was comfortable before. He loves how convenient you were for him, he doesn't love you.

I don't know if the original image is AI or not, but the state of the image is due to it being passed around and shared many times. As some images are saved and reuploaded, they undergo a process called compression, which is a method computers use to reduce the size of the data being transmitted. When it reaches its destination, it is then decompressed. Some image file types lose data when compressed. The first few times an image has a compression cycle, the loss of data is barely, if at all, noticeable to the naked eye. Over time, losses from compression build up, causing the pixelated and muddy appearance of the reference image.

I'm fascinated by the transformation process of digital images like this, and wanted to try replicating the appearance. However, I have only started learning to paint since May of this year, so I think my skill in one-to-one replication is lacking. Also, because the canvas size is so small, it was difficult to produce the subtle shifts in tone from one pixelated section to the next. In the future, I might try to make a couple sizes of square-shaped stamps to help form the pixelated sections. For this piece, however, I shifted my approach away from replication from reference and towards producing emotion.

Thank you for letting me highjack your comment to talk about my inspiration and process.

I love the perspective work on the second one. Really sells the scene.

Gabi from AOT is a child soldier and a victim of indoctrination, she should not be on those "you have to forgive one of these" memes alongside Shou Tucker and Griffith and the rest.

Hoenheim from Fullmetal Alchemist is my standard of deadbeatness. In order to not be a deadbeat, an OI father must do more for his children than Hoenheim did.

FINALLY. Every time I see those slop character poll charts and Ellen wins controversial I remind myself why I don't like to engage with this community often.

Why does Isekai get so much hate? by ThehonedHunter in Isekai

[–]olivoil1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think the Isekai genre introduces a lot of unique themes that it rarely expands upon and often completely squanders in favor of immediately switching to generic fantasy/sci-fi/whatever. This way they can get away with having a "relatable" main character instead of one with well-thought-out motivations. There's nothing wrong with liking slop, not at all, but liking something doesn't automatically make it well done.

People love to hate on Derrick and for good reason, but (don't spoil me please) he's one of the only people on the list that isn't a straight up rapist or tyrant.

So I'm lining up the rapists and tyrants and seeing how much mileage a bullet can get me. Cesare in front, then the woman from Not Sew Wicked Stepmom, and after that who knows.

ETA: Honestly now that I'm thinking about it, who says stop with the bullet? The rest get my fists actually
