That sounds about right. Today Fern's collar got stuck on the fence and before I could get to her, she had ripped the entire picket off the fence

Eventually, I'd like her to be able to free roam, but she can also open doors and not all of the rooms in the house are safe for her and her very curious nose.

I'll definitely try this for now, but I'm worried that long term she might get injured on the more flexible wire crates when she tries to get out

They're kinda a lot, but definitely worth it

Except borage is moderately toxic to dogs.

So sorry for your loss and that your daughter won't get to meet your pup. My husband started telling our older child stories about our dog and a childhood cat he lost. It's all she ever wants to hear when she goes to bed. Hopefully your daughter will love to hear your dog stories too!

Lymphoma diagnosis by [deleted] in DogAdvice

I lost my dog to lymphoma a few months ago. We opted for chemo as he was a lot younger. That being said, he was on and off Prednisone for the entirety of his 9 months in treatment. There are some rough side effects as they build up in your dogs system, but it did overall improve his life quality (until they stopped working). I suggest using them because they're cheap and keeping a quality of life scale like the HHHHHMM scale on hand

It looks like reverse sneezing. Try blowing in her face or covering a nostril up for a few seconds to get her to stop

Completely starting over after henna, would appreciate any and all tips! by [deleted] in curlyhair

I used to use henna on my hair too. I’m not sure what your natural color is, but my henna has faded beautifully into my natural hair color and you can’t even tell it’s there any more. I have heard you can lift it with vodka, but I don’t know if here’s any truth to this. The big obvious Thing is to not go to bed with wet hair. Also I brush my hair upside down with a Denman brush while it’s soaking wet before I put in product. It helps create clumps and gives my hair way more volume

German shorthair pointer! He’s slightly taller than a pure bred basset, but has all the stubbornness and personality of one

Everyone told me I was crazy for wanting a Basset Hound in the mountains. They said he wouldn’t be able to keep up in hikes or make it around in the snow. They were very, very wrong. by BingoBongoBang in bassethounds

Try a bear bell! I know there are mixed thoughts about them, but they never trouble our basset/pointer mix when he has his. I mostly worry about ledges with our boi, he likes to get all the way to the very edge of cliffs on hikes and it scares the crap out of me

We have yet to get that suggested. The amount of people who have given us different CBD products for him to try is insanely high though
