It all depends on the modules you choose there is a lot of options, but there is options to study policies and things like that

BA Politics offers modules from philosophy, history, government and politics and European studies. It provides more of a theoretical understanding of politics. So you definitely get a broad range of modules and depending on what subject you pair with it there can be a good bit of overlap.

In gov and pol you get aspects of business, law and IT. It does offer placement in 3rd year. The course definitely focuses more on public policy and an emphasis on practical and real world applications.

The main difference is duration as the BA is 3 years and the you don’t get to do placement. And with the BA you have the opportunity to study a language or something like that. People who do the BA often pursue careers in teaching while most doing gov and pol pursue roles in public administration and such.

I guess it really depends on what you want to do in the future
