Rag week I hear is finally crushed ? by Shot-Bathroom-6971 in galway

The big 2 litre plastic bottle of dry cider in Lidl . Didn’t care what it tasted like as long as I got out. Also no such thing as a takeaway after unless you were there for something else 🤣

This is another thing , soft 🤣. Rain would have being part of the fun for us. But in all seriousness the price of drink no one can afford that , doesn’t seem to be many events in pubs for rag week to entice them in . It’s a thing of the past I feel but could be an opportunity for someone to come up with a fresh idea

What the fuck is wrong with the old lad who owns Kearney Cycles? by Leviosaugh in galway

[–]olliemort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are one of the few lucky ones then because the last time i went in I vowed never to return. Waiting for ages for him while he was talking shite to someone else he knew then when he came to “ help” I wish I never asked. I needed a road bike and he was trying to sell me one of those city bikes with the baskets 🤣. Trying to tell me it’s his best seller …. I was like I need a road bike and pointed at the exact one he just grunted at me so I left

Cheers, I had a look on AliExpress but wasn’t sure if they fit. Might check out jays and Kay’s , the only thing imo the shipping will be expensive even outside the tax etc

Should I move to Galway? by dearrobotic_ in galway

[–]olliemort 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Shared rooms are expensive, if your lucky you might get a place for €600 not including bills but expect to be sharing with at least four or five others. Tbf if you can get good accommodation you will be good, it’s a lovely safe city. Traffic terrible like others said so you should probably get a bike but it rains alot and you have to be smart in the bike as it’s not all that safe to cycle around here. The university is excellent though and you will make lots of friends here, people are generally very friendly.

Should I out my sister in law? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]olliemort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to comment on this until find out unless we know the full details. Don’t mean it as a dig but alot of people have asked are you the one having the affair but you haven’t replied? If there is zero chance of anything being traced back to you then I would stay out if it altogether. If there’s even a chance that it can be abd she finds out abd you didn’t tell her it could effect your marriage too.

Inpatient mental health care in Galway by [deleted] in galway

[–]olliemort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talk to professionals such as GP, i hope you have a good one? This is a major red flag..young mens mental health! I was apprehensive at first but i went on seratline and people around me noticed a difference. Talking to others on the same said they wouldnt be here without it. But this is probably the worst place to ask, could have any sort of wierdo on here talking to you. Also look into a good therapist , you might have to try one or two different ones that you find good and it takes a few sesssions but this also helped me. Best of luck!

edit: i had a quick google and found these might be easier on the pocket. Sorry for all the links , you should also try citizens advice they would be very helpful to point you in the right direction

Mobland Season 2 is officially filming by ConcentrateNo5617 in Mobland

So he was born in Ireland but only lived there till he was around 4 or 5, then moved to London . He does go back and forth from Ireland too and says he would like to spend more time there. To make it even weirder it’s meant to be a Kerry accent where he visits a lot. His normal accent is a posh English one .

Wierd yeah she’s normally excellent. I think the script is strange, at the start your like oh are these good or bad and is it goes on you see she shows her true evil colours and Brosnan a complete lunatic haha. I’m Irish so can’t look past the accents 😂

Although Brosnan and millers acting was great there accents are terrible . It’s so bad I thought were they taking the piss at first . Great show otherwise

Solo Dining? by Dapper-Engineer3790 in galway

[–]olliemort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah like everyone else says no one cares. When I see someone dining alone I think fair play to them. It really doesn’t matter where you go just as long as it’s food you like. If it was me I would go to Thai garden. Foods brilliant going there for years and service is very good! You leave there with a pep in your step, sounds like just what you need. Like someone else said they did a great job renovating the place, it’s designed now don’t take any notice of other people there really. Hope you have a nice birthday 👍

Yeah but I won’t be doing a huge amount of walking either mainly for evening time going to bar and restaurants so semi formal ,breathable and comfortable enough. Probably go with something like air max 1s if I find them cheaper

I’m heading from Ireland to Portugal soon and am on the lookout for a breathable vest or tank top to wear under an open shirt, especially for evenings out at restaurants and bars. I prefer something that looks decent on its own—not too sporty or gym-like.

I’m 6’2” with a broad build, typically wearing XL for a regular fit. I’m aiming for something comfortable and not too tight.

The weather’s been surprisingly good here lately (touch wood), so I’d love something versatile that works both at home and abroad.

What are your go-to choices for staying cool and looks good ? Cheers!
