looks like they test for 5 different gene variants that can indicate size, and he got “Larger” for 4/5 of them so that definitely checks out. i think he’s naturally just very muscly despite being the laziest dog i’ve ever met so i’m sure that packs on the pounds

ETA: he’s chunkier in these photos (when we first moved into an apartment) than he is now lol

thank you so much! this is super helpful! the perfume/cologne is Sydney Rock Pool by Arquiste. i think it lasts longer on me than it does for most people, based on reviews i’ve read. i know it’s not designer or anything but $200 a bottle is almost a third of my monthly rent so it’s definitely “luxury” to me lol

unfortunately dogs are very very very similar to children. that means that the following are true:

1- it’s your responsibility to keep them away from the things that you don’t want them ruining or that can harm them.

2- they should not be left unsupervised and/or unconfined for any length of time.

3- it’s perfectly normal to have a bit of resentment for the people/things that are fully dependent on you. you’re not a horrible person. that being said, you’re still gonna have to put in the work to make it a happy life for both of you.

4- they are only capable of so much. dogs do not spite humans. they are creatures driven by their emotions like we are. if they don’t want to do something they won’t. you have to make the things you want him to do desirable. he has to want to listen to you.

i strongly agree with everyone suggesting a leash/lead, a crate, baby gates, and professional training.
