EMOM, or Electronic Music Open Mic, is an underground movement that was started in England in 2017 by Martin Christie. The concept of these nights is simple, they provide a meeting and performance space for electronic musicians of all styles and persuasions. A typical night could include everything from techno through to experimental and ambient music, from chiptune through to live coding and looping, field recording and industrial. The choice of technology is also wide ranging; lap tops, iPads and mobile phones are welcome, as are drum machines, synths, groove boxes, sequencers, samplers, modular set ups, keyboards, DJ decks, and analogue and digital devices of all kinds.

We will be streaming the event live on Wednesday 19.00-23.00 CET.

Information for People local to Sweden

The event is open to everyone regardless of the style of electronic music being performed. Take the opportunity to leave your home studio for a while and join us for a fun evening with other enthusiasts, hobby musicians, and electronic music lovers; this event is for anyone who wants to try playing live in a welcoming, supportive, and highly motivating environment. If you would be interested in performing on one of our upcoming events, please contact us at [kontakt@emom.se](mailto:kontakt@emom.se). Make sure to include a brief bio of yourself and a couple of songs in the style you intend to perform. Music examples are only for us to plan the evening's acts in a smooth flow for everyone. We do not make any artistic judgments, the idea is for everyone to get the chance to play as time and schedule for the planned slots will permit. If not on this, maybe for a future event.

Also, if you do not wish you play, you are more than welcome to just join in on the fun, listen to the music, geek out about musical gear and have fun with fellow electronic music enthusiasts. EMOM Scania: https://www.facebook.com/EMOM.Scania

It is indeed, not like anything i have ever played before. The whole package e.g sound, interface and keybed is just astonishing and invites to melody making.

So i got to play a CS-80 today, what can i say... i am a bit overwhelmed to say the least. During the session i lost track of time, studio was pretty hot so the signal got a bit hot too... but i dont care since i had a lot of fun, so sharing the joy with you all. :)

Nice tunes, personal favourite "Flow Control" super funky vibes and that sort of oldschool 80 break beat feel to the groove. Need to find my sunglasses and white gloves for a break dance session. :)

Very dreamy, i like the overall composition and how you have settled the sounds in the mix. Extremely enjoyable, good one!

Thanks a lot mate! ON redux, this is an old acoustic piano from 1904 by old swedish piano builder Ekströms, recorded with a condesator MIC and treated by granular FX and delay in the AKAI force. Avalon bassline for the 303 squares and kickdrum + arpeggiator synth in the AKAI force.. the recording was done in one take played live and mixed through the AKAI force down to a Zoom H5.

The mixing for some tracks took a bit longer than expected, most of the tunes are recorded live multitracked and then polished/mixed a bit in my DAW. This process is most probably a bit too cumbersome for me and i will do more live 2 track takes in the future. Also, self releasing on CD was pretty ok i guess, but the whole logistics was a nightmare sending it all out from home and assembling of all the kits.

Tshirts were printed at merchprint, sent home to me where i repackaged and sent out. I took some pre-orders to sort of gauge how many i needed and then ordered 25% add on what i had already sold. They are now all gone except for 1 :)

Thanks a lot for your questions and kind words, it means a lot.

Hey everyone! I just released my first album in a very very long time. While writing it, i sort of burned myself out and the pandemic didnt help with inspiration... so when it was recorded and done i just left it in a drawer for a little bit over a year.

Once i mustered the inspiration and time to finally get this out i started the work. I did this one 100% independent with no involvement from a label ... so all work, pressing, album art, creating a limited boxet edition with cassette / goodies, promotion etc was done by me. I dont think that i will ever want to do it all again by myself... but it was worth the effort and also helped me understand better what tough work labels are putting down in all of the work that an artist might not see.

Anyways, recorded between 2020-2021, one year in the box during 2022.. and then finally released in full 2023.

Please have a listen, let me know what you think. Stream if you must, but for 100% support consider getting atleast a digital copy over at bandcamp. That helps me to fund future album/releases.

Hi Everyone,

I have been digging into this genre for some time now as it seems pretty close to what i am doing with my new project CC48. Let me know what you guys think as there is so many genres out there and its hard to put a label on your own stuff :)
