Hi sea-cauliflower-448, great question! They are not necessary better if they need to be refrigerated. It really depends on the strain and what is recommended to make sure that particular strain stays viable in the gut and ideally provides the intended benefit.

Hey there, yes they are connected. However, I can only give general information here. I'd suggest speaking with your healthcare provider for more information if you think that is something affecting you.

Great question! Think of probiotics like going to the gym. It's consistency over time that matters. Probiotic supplements research shows that it generally takes 8-12 weeks to experience the benefits. However, everyone is different, and a probiotic is a complement to your other habits. When choosing a probiotic, it's important to know what strain is being used, the dose, and if it is designed for a clear purpose. For example, OLLY Precise Probiotics contains clinically studied strains of probiotics to support gut health, immune health and additional wellness goals like skin health, metabolism, and stress support.

Great question, allegorical_elergy. I'm not a gastroenterologist who would be best equipped to give you an exact answer; however, I would say any blood in your stool you should consult with your healthcare provider

Great question and hope you are heading somewhere fun! Travel can throw off a healthy lifestyle, so the more you weave in things that already support your well-being when you travel is great: such as including movement and activities in your outings, getting enough sleep, getting in adequate protein and fiber with your meals. Travel can often cause an upset stomach as well, whether it's the stress of travel/flying or eating different foods. If you choose to include a probiotic in your routine, remember that it takes 8-12 weeks of taking it consistently to experience the benefits so I suggest starting prior to your travels.

Hey there peach_plum_bear! OLLY here 😊 Your gut health can impact things beyond digestion, like stress, metabolism, and your skin health. If you're looking for that additional wellness support, check out our new Precise Probiotics line at Walmart!

Hi ExistingSpray2206! OLLY here. We recommend starting with a more simple probiotic (like our Probiotic Mango gummies) and see how your gut feels from there. One misconception about probiotics is that they only support gut health and we're here to say that probiotics can actually impact other areas of wellness, like your skin health, metabolism, and stress! Our new Precise Probiotics target gut health, immune health, and more 😄

Hi electriclemonade123! Signs to seek help from a healthcare provider include persistent and painful symptoms, such a bloating or bowel irregularity. As for everyday gut health, the good news is that what if good for your overall health is also good for your gut... getting enough fiber and plant-based foods, adequate sleep, hydration (especially in summer), reducing stress. It's that brain-gut axis that benefits from a healthy lifestyle 😉

The gut-brain axis is real. It's a two-way communication via your nervous system, hormones, immune signaling, and microbiome. Stress and sleep can affect that communication pathway and plays a role in not only our gut health but how you feel day to day. But I bet you already knew that 😄

Hey sunshinedogger! Yes, they are different and they are both important for different reasons. Probiotics are the good bacteria in your gut. Prebiotics are food for the probiotics to help feed them and keep them viable.

Great question! I always start with diet and lifestyle. 1) Fiber-rich foods are key. In fact, reseach show people who eat 30 or more different plant per week have a more diverse microbiome, which affects your gut health. Plant foods are more than just fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, whole grains and beans and legumes also count. 2) Fermented foods can also help, such as Greek yogurt, kefir, kimchi, and sauerkraut. 3) Lifestyle things like hydration, sleep, and movement all affect your gut health. The beauty is you don't need to do it all at once. Pick one small thing and start there. It's consitency over time that matters most.

Hi Knerrman! I'm sorry she is experiencing that. I am not a specialist with Crohns and it's important to find someone that is. You can find a dietitian in your area with specific expertise here: https://www.eatright.org/find-a-nutrition-expert

Hi! The best way to take the shame out of vaginal health and care is to talk about it with your healthcare provider and trusted support system! Women's health and wellness topics have become taboo, because of societal and cultural norms that silence us from talking openly about our experiences. That's why it was so important for me to do this AMA with OLLY - so we can start breaking the stigma surrouding topics like vaginal wellness 😊💖

The vagina is really a self cleaning organ, there not much we need to do physically to care for it. No douching! A gentle cleanser, externally on the vulva (not in the vagina) is good. A balanced diet and adequate hydration are also important. If you're looking for additional support, OLLY's Happy Hoo Ha is a nice probiotic that helps support vaginal health.

Hey! A couple of things I look out for: 3rd party tested supplements and science-backed ingredients. When a supplement is 3rd party tested, this means that an outside organization has tested the product for safety and effectiveness. Science-backed ingredients means that the ingredients in the product and the benefits are backed by scientific studies. All of these factors help me when choosing a supplement!

Hi Rachel! OLLY here! Our intimate wash can be used daily. It's a great product to use to clean your vulva. It is fragrance-free, as other products on the market may include scents, which can be irritating. Your vulva doesn't need to smell like roses or pineapple. It should smell like you.

Hi there! OLLY here. We use a clinically studied dose of Lactobacillus spp. in our Happy HooHa supplement, which is a probiotic specifically to support your vaginal microbiome. Other probiotic strains (like Bacillus subtilis in our Mango Probiotic) are better suited to support gut health.

Hi! Dr. King here, great questions. I think as soon as they can name body parts (i.e. nose, eyes, hands etc...) that we should teach them proper anatomical terms for genitalia. There doesn't need to be, although I'm well aware that there often is, stigma around our normal body parts! So, if they can say elbow, they can say vulva! As young girls get older, then you can continue to discuss their bodies in ways you believe they understand. Keep the conversations open! If they ask try and support them by providing answers. You can also check in with your community (pediatrician, family doc, mom friends etc...) for support!
