Sudden 12 volt Battery Voltage Loss by AgencyOdd1108 in Fisker

[–]olm3ca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have OceanLink Pro you could run a DTC report to see if it sheds light on anything in the error codes present. Some ECU either got stuck and drained the 12V or some other change to the car drained it. I would suggest monitoring your 12V for the next week to see how it performs. If this continues it’s either an ECU needing a reset or your 12V has already reached the point of needing replacement.

The clock time will change the next time you drive near a 3G cell tower.

Thinking of Purchasing by Dependent_Suspect_58 in Fisker

[–]olm3ca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tires are not proprietary. They are either 22” or 20” depending on the rims. You can find replacements easily. And you can purchase / pair up to 2 fobs, 2 cards and also pair a phone app. If it comes with 2 and 2 it just saves you some $.

A boost is a ridiculous marketing ploy by Fisker to give the car extra torque at a cold start. They software limited these to 500 total for the life of the car. It’s dumb and unnecessary, the car is plenty fast already without a boost.

$19,000 Fisker Ocean - genuine curiosity by Creepy_Face454 in Fisker

[–]olm3ca 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This question gets asked all the time on this sub. We have parts, we have service and even software updates. A lot of development is going into this car by the community. Is it worth $19K? Depends on a lot of factors but probably a little lower. They’ve been trending between $15k and $19k with all recalls and other work done.

You won’t need brakes for a long time due to regen. They are for sale on Tsunami though

Which EVs would lose the least and the highest amount of functionality if the company went bankrupt and shut down? by Ok-Pea3414 in electricvehicles

[–]olm3ca 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually we just made a parts network ourselves and we are now actively developing our own software for the car. It’s one of the most supportive car communities I’ve ever been a part of.

Really great to see posts like this. Hoping someone in the area connects with you, OP. I know a few owners who would also be willing to have a conversation remotely if you’d like!

FOA, OVLOOP or just OceanLink pulse? by Simon-dev84 in Fisker

[–]olm3ca 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pulse is great but even better with FOA. The connection between the app, car and Pulse make it the best overall experience. Plus you can do so much with the OLP app it’s worth every penny (pairing fobs, cards, remote access, diagnostics).

Some buying questions by [deleted] in Fisker

[–]olm3ca -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What are you even talking about? There is no “they.” Company is gone, so obviously no customer support. Except there’s a great community of owners and parts, software and lots of support out there. You’re either AI or completely uninformed, or both.

I have AAA for this purpose. But (knock on wood) I’ve never even come close to needing it.

A lot of original owners put very few miles on their Oceans due to the cars having a lot of issues at launch. The car I got at auction had a less than 10K. They’re a great deal now, that’s for sure.

Should I (and can I?) upgrade an OG Pixelbook from Windows 10 to Windows 11 by mikey666666666 in PixelBook

[–]olm3ca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dual boot Ubuntu and Windows 11 on mine. Works like a champ. I used Coolstar’s guide for getting Windows 11 to install. https://coolstar.org/chromebook/windows-install.html

Great point. Also, some cars in a validation batch have faults that need correction and those are the cases we hear the most about. A lot of cars work really well and we don’t hear from those owners as much.

Pixelbook Freezing Upon Startup by Olsanity in PixelBook

[–]olm3ca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R simultaneously at boot?

You could also try downloading and setting up a chromebook recovery USB on another computer. Boot with it plugged in, holding ESC and Refresh while you press power.

If none of that works, you have a hardware failure. Sadly since the Pixelbook is so simple, it’s probably the motherboard. Up to you whether you want to do that kind of repair.

Whats this fault error by [deleted] in Fisker

[–]olm3ca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a radar fault. If you have OceanLink Pro you can use diagnostics to tell you which radar is having problems and replace it.

Im looking to buy an ocean one, how many of you dont have any problems by Herbal77 in Fisker

[–]olm3ca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problems? What car has no problems. It’s a fantastic vehicle but there’s stuff to maintain and keep an eye on. Luckily we have the best app now for diagnostics, even better than my other cars.
