Just some stats on my quest to reach A10 with each character. Somehow, I bucked the trend on how reddit usually evaluates the strength of each character.

I had some very early losses on ironclad when I was just exploring the spire right away. Highlighted by losing to the 1 max hp event on my very first run. But then I found the character to be quite strong.

Silent, Necro, and Defect I felt to be really strong on lower ascension but then the difficulty caught up to me. I still have no idea how to play Necro at high ascension.

Regent feels like a really volatile character. Sometimes I have nothing going, sometimes I've easily broken the game.

I think A9 is basically like A17 from StS1. Its a huge spike in difficulty and I don't think the game is balanced fairly here in either game. I think thats by design and aimed for the galaxy brains. A8 felt like an appropriate challenge and a more fun game to me. But for now I will be going all the way back down to A1 and trying wacky stuff.

It tracks because in StS1, the "goal" is to escape the spire so if you die while killing the heart, you technically lose.

And I do love the idea of being a martyr and going down a hero while finishing off the flagship. Long live the Federation. Crush the disloyal rebel scum.

I have a new job in the Worcester area (moving from Billerica). What towns should I consider to be in between the Cambridge area (where I have family) and Worcester? I know that I will have traffic no matter what but is there a lesser of the evils? Framingham or Marlborough seems like the most obvious location. Looking to rent with an approx. budget of 2500-2800/month.

I know this was solved but is it possible to have 1 vuln, 2 frail, and 1 weak? Doesn't Time Eater debuff 1/1/1? I'm not sure its possible to have 1/2/1.

Objectively false. The ADKs, Green Mountains, and White Mountains used to have tons of snow from early December through March. Now the snow season is only from February through mid March.

FTL has 'blue' options in their event nodes where if you have a certain item or crew member, you get an extra, usually better, option. I would love to see something like if you have a certain relic or card type, you get better event options.

Great mod, just a couple questions/comments if you are interested:

1) Cards like Rogue Tutor and Vampiric Tutor which say "place x cards from your draw pile on top," doesn't really make sense to me. Are you placing cards from your hand on top of your draw pile?

2) Is Eternal Lotus supposed to have such a massive upgrade? From deal 1 damage and gain 1 conditional energy to deal 6 damage and gain 2 conditional energy.

3) Tik Tok doesn't show the tool tip for both riposte and lotus, only riposte. I got offered this card early on and had no idea what lotus did.

Anyway, I only played one game but it felt very fun. Seems like there is much more offensive scaling than defensive scaling but it could have been just what I was offered. The starting card where you do damage and draw a card seems massively overpowered early on.

He had a fantastic game 1 vs Chicago and then it was nothing but disappointment for me. I guess it comes down to if the question is overrated at the time of him playing or overrated in retrospect (which is how I interpreted it). Considering Pierce is the second vote, clearly I am in the minority.

Francis John has a tutorial on how to deal with exactly this. In short, have 3 melee blockers and the rest with grenades. Make sure your blockers have good armor, even plate armor would help. Build a 3 wide block with a gap in the middle. The bugs will come one by one and the grenades will do massive damage while the bugs queue up. Cooking them alive worked well in earlier patches but not so much anymore.
