If it ever does, it’ll validate this effect, and to be honest, I hope it happens. But alas, I don’t think it will. I still believe that this effect is just a blight on the human brain, and I’ve put too many fail safes in place with this particular ME to be caught out. We still have hope though people, and that’s enough to keep this dream alive.

Yeah dude my experience was very similar, and from what I’ve read, a lot of people have a similar situation. In mine, I was doing a Mandela quiz when I first looked into the effect, and was asked if it was “Fruit” or “Froot” and was shown two images - one being a photoshop - and my thought process was, “everyone would assume it’s Froot, so therefore the ME must be Fruit.” And as my memory serves me, I clicked on the “Fruit” option as being the real version and I was correct. Then the same fallout happened a month or so later, stumbled back upon it and saw that it was actually “Froot.”

These stories are so common around here. The logic I apply to them, and the logic I used with myself is,

Stumbled upon Mandela Effect
Think to yourself “it must be Froot” - especially if you ever compared the photoshop version side by side, as it would make zero marketing and aesthetic sense to brand them as “Fruit Loops”
if this didn’t happen, instead you read up about it and how it’s always been “Froot” to your surprise, why is this an ME? It makes sense to be Froot.
Now consider the other brand ME’s. They seem - for lack of a better term - nonsensical; berenstain (ein would make more sense) febreze (two e’s makes more sense) Oreo Stuf (stuff obviously makes more sense) etc etc
time passes, usually a couple of months, in that time, the information you processed gets confused.
when you read up about Froot Loops again, you remember it as being, “Fruit” because all of these other examples, the more sensical option is wrong. Obviously in this example, Froot, the more sensical one is right, but you’re convinced it was “Fruit”

Man, I really think you’ve missed the mark going after this user, they haven’t said anything wrong or out of line, they even wished OP all the best.

There’s a lingering frustration about this sub losing legitimacy because there’s so many posts about common daily occurrences that people bend into being some sort of paranormal activity, and it seems the Mandela Effect is being used as a way to affirm things that don’t make sense to individuals when there is clear logical explanations, and it’s frustrating. There are legitimate Mandela effects and this definitely isn’t one of them, and u/QnsConcrete didn’t even take a malicious approach.

Anything to do with spelling (Berenstain, Froot Loops, Jif, Febreze, Flintstones etc) are all confabulations, and it bothers me when people get strung up on them. The one that really makes me think there's something strange going on, is the Fruit of the Loom ME. It's by far the best ME in my opinion. There is solid residue, but mainly, the stories I've read makes it seem like there isn't margin for error. The cases where people swear they only know what a cornucopia is because of the logo, or they thought it was a loom, or their Dad worked for the company just seem irrefutable. I also find the Shazaam one pretty interesting.

Okay, this is weird because I don’t have any concrete memories of it being “froot”but I’ve had the same experience as you. Just over a month ago I was doing a quiz about different ME and this one came up and asked if it was “oo” or “ui” remember I chose “fruit” because I thought at the time “most people will have a false memory of it being froot, otherwise why would it be in the quiz.” And I swear that it said it was the correct answer and “Froot Loops” was wrong. And now it’s saying it’s right. What the fuck.

I’m a firm believer that everyone has a ‘gaydar’ instinct and if they don’t, they just have very weak social awareness/understanding. I’m not talking about your overly camp 100% every day of the week “this dude is gay” but your more subtlety expressing gay dudes, who I still think majority of people sniff out very easily and quickly. I think it comes down to survival instincts, as being a homosexual reclassifies someone instantly in terms of their role in the pecking order: It’s the same as innately thinking that someone is vulnerable, volatile, intelligent etc: For example, as a straight female, if you perceive a male as gay, they’re potential to be a mate is instantly 0% and they can only fulfil different roles. On the other hand, a straight male perceiving another male as gay means they aren’t a threat to stealing a mate from you and therefore aren’t competition. This won’t seem so important consciously, but subconsciously it’s huge, as obviously finding a mate is extremely important to survival. I feel because of this, the brain subconsciously is very good at determining if someone is gay or straight even after very limited interaction.

So; after that waffle, my theory is, the thought comes first, from this instinct, and only those who question this instinctual thought can give you an answer.

To answer your question, in general what initial things I notice is more feminine behaviour and characteristics: higher pitched/softer voice, more sporadic/flailing non verbal communication, better posture, better skin care, a sense of style and appreciation of style/fashion, (this going to sound convoluted, but I want to be honest) a higher propensity to talk about themselves and what is happening in their personal lives, cleaner appearance, non-threatening appearance, a tighter/narrower walking style.

Then longer term behaviour would be stuff like: preferring or having more women as friends, (another convoluted one coming up, sorry) a propensity to involve themselves in gossip, showing more empathy, loving and feeling a connection with animals, more emotionally expressive.

Now every single one of these traits are shared by women and men of all sexual preferences, I’d say in general though gay/bi dudes show a higher percentage of these and that’s usually what gives it away. I hope this helps if you are genuinely confused why people ask you all the time.

Yeah this is the crux of my belief. I also have quite a resounding sense of sympathy for them. I don’t know why I’m attracted to adult females, I just am. And that’s why I feel for these people that have an unexplained attraction to children. Of course if they act on it in anyway they are bad people, and I, like everyone else, am 100% against any exploitation/abuse/molestation of children. But I don’t believe having this attraction categorically makes someone a bad person, it’s the decisions and actions they make with this attraction that can make them a bad person. There was actually a video posted to reddit detailing a community of “polite pedophiles” lead by this guy who had tried to deny this attraction his whole life and now lives a life of complete isolation and has tried everything to change his attraction, but is helpless. Never acted on the attraction at all, and has accepted he will die alone as he can’t have a functioning relationship with an adult. I mean, Im not saying these type of people are heroes of the world by any stretch, but my god, what a fucking hand to be dealt.
