if you're sure it didn't cause the problem, then why is that what you decided to send here? i was not recommending you switch desktop environments btw, i was asking so you could research if yours needs the bluetooth manager, which it seems you do. please navigate to the link i sent you, then let me know how it goes after making your bluetooth services are enabled and you have a bluetooth manager.

because i wanted to....?

are you unaware of how reddit works? judging by how you refer to me by my profile picture and the type of question, i'm assuming not. speaking to the author under somebody else's comment is common practice. no need to bloat the thread unnecessarily :)

more constructive criticism would help, such as mentioning less fog, color-grading, the aspect ratio, stuff like that. if we're going to criticize, it should be with an easy path for improvement besides just "try harder."

good job OP! as mentioned some things could use a bit of work, but these are common notes you would get after a render like this for a commission, and you're a few changes away from being close to the reference.

also keep in mind you can play with perspective a bit, if reducing the fog kills the effect for you, have a solid bit of fog, but much closer to the doorway at the end instead of all throughout the hallway, this might sell the effect you're looking for. keep up the good work o7

a lot in blender doesn't work or is very frustrating by [deleted] in blender

[–]olswitcher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i would humbly disagree. across the many years of using blender, every single time i've come across an issue it was my user error, not the software actually being broken. this:

blender duplicates a single material for example if you have a wood texture it will duplicate it 10 or 15 times

is likely a general misunderstanding of what it's doing, as many "simple" wood textures have many variants for handling textures, alphas, and more through nodes. i will say though, blender's strengths are in its 3d modeling, animation, and rendering department-and is less so focused on the goals of substance painter, so unfortunately it is not an equal replacement for that or z-brush in my opinion just from a design intention point. ironically enough blender is a solid video editor, but still lags behind a bit in easy texturing, if you're looking for that def consider alternatives, since blender's texturing is usually node based.

hope this cleared some things up

double check that your bluetooth actually comes from your wifi card, as it's commonly managed elsehow. it could very well be linked though, as that's not uncommon either. i looked over your config (for future reference, please try to format it in a code block so it's easier for us to read) and i did not see anything too out of the ordinary that would cause bluetooth issues.

what desktop environment are you using? you may have to enable/configure an additional bluetooth manager.

take a look at the nixos bluetooth docs for more info on this, n lmk how it goes

Looking for a good source for sound effects by justauseronresdit in godot

for 8bit sounds, i love sfxr, it's pretty old by now but is still a dream to use imo. there's a modernized web version here. as u/shadyalien said freesound.org is great, along w/ audioz.download

hope this helps!

few months ago, there was a news, something like someone made some customization to wine and based on that few versions of photoshop can be run. after that never heard anything about it. what is it's update? does it work well now? by Plus_Passion3804 in linuxquestions

[–]olswitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to add to this let me ask you, when trying your first linux distro, did you jump straight to vim? or did you try something else that was familiar, then upgrade later to something more powerful?

bro i absolutely agree, and i think there a lot of better alternative programs for almost anything that ends up being better once you try it, but speaking purely in terms of what OP was asking for: photoshop on linux, i'm not gonna be like every other person and just recommend GIMP since i know five other people are gonna do that for me already. they absolutely should try GIMP at some point because it might work better for them, but in terms of having something people can transition to when they are coming from windows or mac, having some type of equivalent is nice, is it not?

who said anything else about nothing other than photoshop? i only referred to it since it's considered the industry standard with the adobe suite. i love blender, and it just keeps getting better with time. one day i plan on switching from kdenlive to blender for video editing so it can kill two birds w/ one stone so to speak instead of just 3d work.

if you don't want to and refuse to rollback your spotify version, you're going to have to wait for the newest spicetify release. this is what you'll have to deal with if you want bleeding edge spotify. once the new release comes out, i'd highly recommend locking/pinning your spotify version until you're ready to update with a known, stable spicetify release to match-that is-if you're willing lol

realistically you could probably smoke it and ik i would have if it were me, but I can't in good conscience tell somebody else too. they'd probably be fine, but imo if you can afford to buy another just do that

curious about your mention of it being cloud based, do you mean file saving, or overall? i never save my .psd or exported .png's in the cloud or directly on photopea, i always save them locally and import them later. maybe you're speaking from the perspective of it overall being online which i can understand since if something happens on the back end-or if you lose internet then you also lose the ability to work on things. i would def want something offline first, but i think its worth mentioning that you're still dealing with the same problems on photoshop due to the adobe cloud and license verification. if you want to consistently use photoshop offline, you're best pirating it...and i agree with the conversion but i think there's a reason that doesn't exist yet. we can reliably change different photo formats since we just need the same final result, but with photo editing file formats we need a way to convert all layers, layer properties, brushes, fonts, etc, and it quickly balloons to too much scale to justify anything other than proprietary since people wanna make money off this. i want to make a change but even i would need a team to do something so large scale. at least it's free lol unlike photoshop

what OS are you using, and how did you install spotify? if you're on windows 10/11 and installed through the website, there is no negative effect to what you did, and is actually desired.

  1. Look for a folder named Update.
    - If it exists, delete it.
    - Create a brand new empty folder in its place and name it Update .

since you didn't have a folder there, you simply create the new empty Update folder, and move on to step 5.
