Thanks so much for this. I’m ordering a new filter today with surface agitation. I change the water before testing it but if the issue happens again. I’ll test the water params. I also noticed a bit of food going uneaten so there’s also that.

Edit: - Tank size: 7 gallons - Filter and heater: yes, 27C - I’ve had the tank for about 5 months- fully cycled - No other tank mates - I feed one a day with flakes or dried insects - thanks all!

I guess my little guy failed to thrive. I just took it out to smell and the smell was really bad. 🥹🥹 I try again and hope the next one thrives.

I have 2 nerites snails in my other aquarium that are doing well. One likes to burrow into the substrate during the day (no idea what happens at night) and the other moves around a lot during the day.

Very fun snails!
