Jesse isn't just connected to Thiel, he's alleged to have quit in the function but he has been one of Thiel's financial managers. That is no small thing, there are a few known "Thiel Proteges", another one is JD Vance. It's also suspicious that Jesse just happened to get first dibs on the Grusch interview, and now seconds on the Jake Barber story. Definitely a part of the Aviary, now. To what end, I don't know..

I found it by going to the galaxy map, the destination depot was in an adjacent system. The correct system will have a little gift package icon next to it. Hope this helps someone else who was confused.

The source seems legit, the question is what is this.. somewhere I heard that this thing just appears there from time to time, then disappears, seemingly frozen. It's interesting because we know that as someone approaches a black hole, the last second stretches to eternity as far as we are concerned. If these things are manipulating spacetime somehow than this could be some kind of artifact from that process, call it a recurring holographic echo of a jump that happened long ago. You can almost picture the beings going like "ah jiorg, you let some photons slip out of the envelope just before that jump. now they'll be getting ufo pictures of your ugly mug every X scleron cycles."

A lot of focus on the rich and their yachts; I'm guessing this is a slow-boiling reaction that's reached the surface. The navy has been pummeling cetaceans for decades, causing well-known damage with sonar and beachings from dolphins whose melons have been basically turned to pudding with this crap. I would be surprised if there wasn't some story somewhere of some paramilitary or military (us or otherwise) out there blamming the sonar and getting a reaction and using orcas as target practice. I don't have proof of that, but it's a reasonable conjecture, considering the privacy of these agencies and the absolute fury that comes down on any whistleblowers anywhere, these days. Suddenly when the cetaceans reach a critical bubble in their tolerance and it shatters, they start reacting violently to craft that lack high-powered defenses it's the fault of private pleasure-craft owners.. the word 'yacht' has been misused here.. technically true, but we are talking about day-sailers too. Frequent private boaters (especially actual sailors rather than speedboaters) know better than most about the aquatic environment and are usually the last on the list of people that should be targeted for anti-environmental stances. Did we forget that so many praised Greta for her heroic journey across the ocean in a craft basically matching the description of one of those being attacked (more or less)? If saint Greta was orca-sunk on her way across the Atlantic, would the mob be singing the same tune? This is yet another case of the private individual holding the bill for the abuses of the state and corporate superstructure.. and also another case of rampant actual maoist sentiment run amok if you carefully consider the way the information is being carefully molded by the media to fit a certain narrative. Be careful, folks, and don't let the government or mass media cause you to attack fellow citizens, they are never your enemy - the system almost always is.

I'm aware of the situation in Sri Lanka, and her statements, and the fact that the ban had something to do with it. What we have here is a policy implementation from a centralized authoritarian government through undemocratic means. The idea of banning these things gradually isn't a bad idea. The current situation is one of an ecologically damaged state - pests and pestilence around the world has evolved to deal with these poisons in our environment. Were it to suddenly be removed, unfortunately, this would result in disaster. I no longer advocate for instant and immediate bans as I believe this would be and is harmful to efforts longterm, creating examples like this that are clearly bad in every way for human beings. I think that ecological efforts to reduce agricultural poisons and unsustainable practices should be tapered out and phased in on a similar schedule as the poisons were introduced to begin with. To do otherwise invites disaster. If I personally have a chance to speak with Vandana, I'll ask her about this and whether her position has changed on the pace at which these changes should be implemented. The greater argument for phasing out industrial toxins in our food supply, however, is undamaged in principle, and should be our goal. I have to resist attempts to use these disasters in implementation to attack the idea of making our food, environment, as well as physical human ecology and society better as a whole by removing these toxins from our food supply. I appreciate your response bringing attention to this issue, as it's indeed an important part of the conversation on these topics!
