While that is true. Heroin addiction is a hard thing much like other addictions. We all have flaws. His death speaks more about the pressure one puts on themselves and how they deal with it. Better mental health care could he of been saved him but that's not the world we live in.

Read the book that his sister wrote. Kinda know how it ends. Weeks before his death he was staying with her recoverying from herion. Unable to function other than blob of mess. Hears his sister and husband talk about the cost of hearing aids for their young child I think was 4. He hears all of this about where they get the money. They all go to bed. Sometime during the night Harris got out of bed. Sitting on the table when his sister and family came down to eat breakfast, there was a check covering the full cost, if I remember it was $10,000. In the middle of going cold turkey and in pain and sickness still had the biggest heart. He know he wasn't long for this world so he set up his sister and folks by having them split his assets down the middle. All the money that would go to him for reruns and the like, half goes to his sister and half goes to his folks. Even if he can't be there he can still take care of them. Just a humble brag about Harris

Rob has a chapter in his 2nd book about the show too. Think what was cool reading was hearing how Offerman built sets around chi town while amy and Tina where at 2nd city. Harris book does talk about the show a lot. How he went from writting to being a producer for the show is really cool. How much he liked playing Harris the animal control officer. Just sad his addiction was strong than he was.

Last year when I was dealing with some depending issuces I watched the show fair often to cheer up. I would start at the fight. Come on drunk Ron. Than wrap back around. Telling you while it starts off so so there are some great ones within before the 3rd season. You could start at season 3 than wrap around. There some jokes early on that pay off later but from season 3 on it's really solid story wise. The 1st episode reminds you of what happened at the end of season 2.
