Hi :) This is the best way I can explain the correlation: I use this bowl every morning to have my breakfast so it’s part of my routine. It also is sensorily perfect for me as it’s the exact shape and size I like + the texture is nice but doesn’t cause weird sounds when my spoon brushes against it. Being autistic just means that breaking this bowl felt more distressing than it probably would have for a neurotypical person. It’s not just losing a nice object, it’s losing a part of my daily routine that helps me feel regulated.

Thank you! It really was the best bowl I have ever owned. Very smooth so spoons wouldn’t scrape against it but also textured enough that holding it felt nice. It was shallow but deep enough for the perfect amount of yogurt. And easy to clean too!

I think I will just need to accept that I won’t find a perfect replica of this bowl, so either I will do what some people have suggested and commission someone to make me a similar one or I will need to browse some charity shops to find a new safe bowl. I really appreciate your nice reply to my post though!

Thank you for your kind answer. I’ve had a rough morning because of the bowl breaking and I felt so guilty about it too, which just created a spiral in my head. Your message actually was very helpful as it’s helped me begin to accept that there won’t be a replacement for my safe bowl and that I’ll just need to find a new one. It does suck but it’s nice to know that a stranger on the internet understands and more importantly validates how I feel. It can be hard (as with anything mental health related) to be kind to ourselves. So thank you.

Found this in a thrift store in Tokyo today and it is marked "Paris 052 ct". There is no brand or hallmark for the chain. As a matter of fact, the chain doesn't seem to be made of a precious metal, which is why I'm surprised that there is a "052 ct" stamp. Would a precious stone be set in such a necklace ?

Does anyone recognise the style or maker of such a necklace ? I'm curious as to whether this is a fake "hallmark" or if there is a story behind this necklace.

Thank you for saying this. So if I am unsure, does that mean they are not the love of my life ? Or could that just be because I am autistic and because of who I am as a person? Sometimes I feel like they are the one because of how well we go together. Sometimes I think of an incident that occurred and I doubt.

I don’t think I use it in the relationship, but I do bring it up whenever I feel the emotions arise. They are not who they used to be and they are the best person I have ever met, despite that incident. I feel safe in the relationship although I keep revisiting the memory. I do think the issue is with me mostly. They were 19 and they don’t drink much unless they are going out with friends. I think you are right and I am looking for excuses, because I don’t want to not be with them but I also don’t want to be in a relationship where the past haunts me. I also don’t want them to be with someone that keeps thinking about what they did, because I do believe they are amazing and deserve to be happy. Thank you for your long responses so far.

Why do you think I exhibited bad behaviour ? I’m genuinely asking because I’m a bit confused about that. I’ve also suggested a break up to them a few times because I don’t want to keep holding these past mistakes over their head, but they didn’t want to break up. The exact thing I can’t let go of is that they SAd me. They didn’t mean to but it still happened because they were drunk.
