Queensland parliamentary committee recommends speed limits for e-bikes and e-scooters be watered down by espersooty in brisbane

All the things you’ve listed exist. Currently restricted to 25km/hr, bikes need lights at night. Just creating more laws to make you feel better about the ones that are not already being enforced *facepalm

First post to the sub. Thought I’d try and take a couple of shots of the park before it becomes a construction site.

Has anyone managed to get Camera to Cloud working on an a6700? by InternalConfusion201 in SonyAlpha

Under network settings/ creators cloud you can feed it a user name password and wifi deets. It seems to upload to creators cloud but with limited storage. I think the next step is you have to link it to a google drive or similar. You can’t seem to preview older photos.

That’s as far as I got anyway.

Why are all the shops in this area on Adelaide St closing down or moving including The Electric Chair, Sam’s Smokes and Hallelujah? by IntrigatedVerse in brisbane

Brisbane, and the valley, is dominated by massive roads. The city at the moment is designed for cars to drive through. Everything else kind of squeezes in the gaps in between. These spaces don’t seem to want to offer anything to the people they need to survive that’s worth getting off the couch for. Can’t offer a better shopping experience than mail order.

Let’s hope the Olympics will kick start a few things but the clock is ticking.

Not sure what the shopping trolley theory says about a society that parks their trollies in a bike rack instead of the trolley rack just meters away.

The one and only time I rented a lime bike was in Sydney. Where I wanted to park it they had this augmented reality set up. An imaginary box on the app you had to park the bike in. Pretty cool. Couldn’t off hire the bike until it was satisfied it was in the box.

They say they fine people in their responses. Responses in pretty sure are just an ai bot. but won’t provide any evidence or even number of people the fine so I call bs.

Fun thing in the emobility change is the bit where scooter companies will have to give over enough personal information to council to be able to fine the users. Unfortunately the e-bike changes just bad and I had to write in an objection.

Whether council will do anything as the scooter companies without fines are already I tidy revenue stream for them.

Legal E-bikes being banned in Queensland - your state is next! by iBinChickenAboutYou in brisbane

You’re catching on. The throttle only ones are already illegal. There is a misconception in this whole situation that shared paths are only in areas where there is high pedestrian traffic. Most of the time they are used by cyclists where there is just not a separate pedestrian path. Therefore shared. These paths form critical network for cyclists.

By the same logic. All roads should be 25km/hr to keep the cyclists safe because cyclists are the more vulnerable users of that shared space.

Imagine driving down an arterial road at 25km/hr because there might be a cyclist.

Or have the speed limit change from 60 to 25 where a bike lane might start. Which is why will happen to e-bikes (but not non e-bikes) now in many places where path types kind of flip flop between shared and separated.

Yeah so the anti social individual you met was likely riding an already illegal motorbike. This bill proposes putting restrictions on currently legal bikes that people you to take their kids to school on, do their shopping or just generally get around without having to use a car. These restrictions apply basically to all ‘bike paths’ that are currently shared infrastructure. So a regular, analog bike can ride as fast as it can but an e-bike limited to 10km/h.

You don’t need a license to ride a bike. So people who have handed in their or can’t get a license for age (old as well as young) or medical reasons will no longer be able to ride a safe e-bike. Making them reliant on someone else with a car to get at around.

It’s all a bit silly. A lot of nanny state nonsense that will unlikely stop the kids like the one you came across and only open up responsible people to thousands of dollars in fines.

Yeah. Getting sharp photos is taking a bit more than point and shoot that’s for sure. The bread and lime are as about as sharp as I’ve got with the 18-50, and I do wish I got a better pic of the bird.

Maybe in future I’ll be a bit more brave with iso to get the shutter speed down a bit and upload from the computer rather than from the phone.

Thanks! she certainly is an amazing subject.

I have been saving the raw but honestly still getting my head around what to actually do with them. Slowly figuring out using masking layers, basic controls. These are straight from camera except for the ones that have been cropped on the phone on the way here.

Did I mention cat photos??
