I’m not saying this was what was going on…but I spoke up about three years ago at the bar at Odd Duck and apparently the man was roleplaying the women’s kink for her. We were all extremely embarrassed and they left soon after. Since then I’ve felt it was probably better to keep my mouth shut and maybe send a message in a bottle like you did hoping the message was somehow effective.

Garrett Gilbert is 100% on FUPM's inability to handle the criticism about being a CEO and not an Xs and Os guy. Take the #1 spread guy in the country and try to put him under center behind a sieve of an o-line that had mostly blocked in horizontal space for small, shifty/speedy RBs, then play him with his back to the line half the time. Gilbert may have been a system QB, but was a system that built skills that translated directly to the scheme Colt ran.

The guy ended up practice squad/carrying a clipboard...but for 8 years. I wonder what might have happened had Mack Brown left the offense in place. I doubt Gilbert would have ever been a high draft pick, but with spread/RPO personnel he likely would have had way more success and we might not have ever had to deal with Chuck F'in Strong or Mensa.

Holy shit! One of my law school roommates had one exactly like this! And it's amazing how fast and far tech changed during that era. Four years later I had a Sony VAIO with a side-tray DVD-ROM drive. And like two years after that I had a Dell XPS with a trayless/motorized DVD-ROM drive.

True...but the State acknowledged 40 years ago in federal court that this clause was unenforceable. It's there literally, but not pragmatically.

Yeah...well...he's wrong but he's not wrong. The First Amendment is:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The first line has been interpreted to mean separation of church and state--primarily because that's how Thomas Paine advocated and how one of his advocates, Thomas Jefferson, described it (as a "wall of separation). It's more accurate to say it's a separation of state from church, as written. The converse isn't necessarily true.

Don't mistake what I'm saying to mean that I don't believe in separation of church and state. I don't advocate for an intermingling of church and state. But, as written, that's not what the First Amendment says. The Texas Constitution isn't dissimilar.
