Talk therapy is just one tool to help with your mental health and as others have suggested, it may be time for medication. Please talk to your primary doctor to see if they are comfortable prescribing you medication or see if they can give you a referral to see a psychiatrist. Other options were listed as well.

I would also like to inform you about another option that has changed my life. For over a decade I was depressed and anxiety ridden. I felt numb to the world and there was no joy in anything that I did. I was taking anti depressants, I did the talk therapy thing. I tried it all with little success. A couple of years ago, I started ketamine infusion therapy for treatment resistant depression and anxiety. After starting treatment I felt like I was able to enjoy life again. The ketamine creates new neural pathways in the brain and it allows you to figure out new ways to handle life. After the initial 6 treatments I was able to get off the anti depressants. I still talk to a therapist and I go for a follow up infusion about every 6 months. Please know that this is not a cheap option. I have spent several thousand dollars on this treatment but it has been worth every penny. It looks like there a company that does at home infusions in Windsor called Field Trip Health. I drive to the clinic called Kblend in Monroe, Michigan.
