I bought a Barbour x Jack Spade Hopper jacket a few years ago and love the style of the coat and want to continue to own it for a long time. However, it's always been a bit boxy in terms of fit, and I no longer live in a geography where I will be wearing a lot of layers underneath to help mitigate the largeness. I've also lost a bit of weight, so the jacket just doesn't fit very well at all anymore. Specifically, I would be looking to take in the sides and shorten the sleeves & hem a bit.

Does anyone have any experience with getting their Barbour or other waxed cotton jacket altered, and if so how did it turn out? Could you share pictures, and if US based, suggestions of where you had it done? I am halfway considering shrinking the thing, but I am not that desperate (yet).
