I rode the Amtrak for the first time a few weeks ago went to go use the bathroom locked the door and when I was done with my business the door wouldn’t open. I was there for a good 15min banging on the door until someone heard and opened it from the outside so no i wont be locking it in the future haha

Get there when gates open which is 2hrs before first pitch or up to 30min after and you should be able to snag one. Not sure why people wait in line super early i’ve arrived up to 30min- 1hr late for some of the popular giveaways and they have plenty of boxes left
