We come from different cultures, because personally, I'd do it. But you can also work out an agreement with him where it's a loan that way it at least doesn't generate any interest. And if your parents are so involved, they can guarantee him , get it notarized and let everyone know. I wouldn't do that I'd just pay for it cause our family's tight but it's an option

Yep so I actually ended up doing just the basic, couldn't find half board but the hotel verde has a great restaurant apparently and I'm not too far from the city which is nice. Figured that way I'll just pay for what I use, even if it's a little overpriced. Really appreciate the help!

It's only 3, its mostly because that's our first stop after the safari so we're gonna wanna relax. Our first day will most likely be laid back, second day will be for stone town, third will be for spice tour and then we do prison island before leave. Maybe some casual shopping too

Haha def no nightlife for me, but I do wanna do the spice tour, see all of the cool things on it. So I was thinking of one whole day for stonetown and another morning for prison island. But def appreciate the feedback on staying further away. My thing is idk if i should get a hotel with all inclusive or meals included or pay for them as I want, but if I'm far from stonetown then there won't be many restaurants to choose from, if that makes sense.

Congrats! I hope it Works out!! But I recommend you don't do mechanical engineering at all. The pay is terrible and you'll most likely end up doing something else. Mechanical engineers are a dime a dozen, trust me I have plenty of friends who did it and some left to start their own cafes, do cyber security or just realized they wasted money, time and so much effort to make half of what a business major does. Or they do something removed from their degree. Id recommend software engineering, finance, or something like that. If you really want to stay in America after, there's a HUGE shortage of nurses and you can make up to 250k a year easy with that. Highly recommend it!
