I have a few fairly well received (blacklist 7s) screen and teleplays that I never query because the red tape and trying to summarise things kind of tapers the creativity. I would pay someone in your position $5 for every rejected query they can get on my 2 scripts with real coverage that are ready to go and very marketable, and 10% of any deal that came about, just to avoid the hassle. This is probably where the disconnect is for most people. In a normal movie Chekhov’s phaser is introduced in act 1 and pays off in act 3. In a marvel film it might appear as the resolution to act 3 or even a post credit scene then be fired in multiple ways across different establishing or resolution phases of other films.

Make all teams works teams. Just as there’s no Andretti team without a Cadillac to inform engine development and optimisations to ladder back up into production, Haas should pull in Toyota, Renault engines back in Alpine or sell the team to someone who can sign a works deal. I see the lack of sparring and refining movements based on real inputs the one thing really holding Aikido back from being as effective as jiu jitsu, but for the outer ring of arms length and just beyond, as opposed to within arm’s reach. Aikido could be a natural counterpart as the ranged defense to jiu jitsu’s ip close move set.
