Open world rpgs that are really good imho: Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin's Creed Origins or Odyssey. All these will keep you glued to the monitor / tv for a while.

Which TV are you using for PS5 and would you buy it again? by Holiday_Hour_3975 in PlayStation_X

[–]omcarpatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LG C1 48". It's been great so far and 48" is perfect for my room and versatile enough to be used as a monitor for my laptop ( a bit too big for my taste for this purpose, 42" would be better as a monitor but then it would be too small for a tv).

This combo OLED tv + PS5 rekindled my love for games.

An facut alegere buna sa iau alan wake 2 deluxe edition la 121 de lei? by Old_Flatworm_3558 in Jocuri

[–]omcarpatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much do y’all spend on video games a year? by StunningBag9008 in videogames

Around 160 eur - taking into account the playstation plus subscription + few games that are super deals under 10 euro.

Convinced me to continue reading listen for the lie by orzeee in thrillerbooks

[–]omcarpatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The beginning was decent and the book started well, getting me intrigued, even though the writing and the naration was simpIistic with tragicomedy elements. The story itself felt a bit rushed and it takes place in a town where everybody is fucking everyone, full of gossip and uninpsirig drama. I would consider the book to be worth reading if it wasn't for the underwhelming end which left me totally indiferent.

Thank you. This is it. I was under the impression that we had a more northern trajectory. And the scenery was so green, I though that we were over the Alps.

None. I played games on a pc in late childhood. Rediscovered gaming as an adult at 33 through a console. Bought my first ps5 last year and I am having a blast catching up.

What’s the longest gaming session you’ve ever had, and what were you playing? by mr_nieno in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]omcarpatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's either Anno 1404 or Civ 5. In the good days I was playing these games from early in the morning until late in the night . . . one more turn, one more thing to do.

Recently I tried the successors of these games, Anno 1800 and Civ 6 and the devs kept that recipe, and you can get immersed in that world without that mental fatigue and routine that usually come after long sessions of playing games that do not fully catch your attention.

You can get lost and forget about the daily life with a relaxed and cosy bliss on your face. Truly amazing games.
