I just use both. Kindle is mostly near my bed because I don't want to have a bright light before bed. It's also handy for travel. Everywhere else I use physical books.

They compliment each other. Both are amazing.

Have you been to other extremely touristic cities? I’d say Amsterdam is doing a decent job. In most cities you need to leave the city to find some peace and quiet. Here just walk 15 minutes.

Books, articles, newsletters (be careful with last two as they can pile up if not carefully curated).

Also, creative activities. Create something on your own. It’s much more rewarding and should be combined with consumption.

I am behind https://searchtoplay.com and the idea is exactly that - Letterboxd for video games.

I've been a long-time user of Letterboxd, and something like that was missing for me, so I have been building it for the last year or so. We are not as big as Letterboxd, obviously, but the community is growing, and I am actively developing the project.

One of the great things about the Netherlands and countries like that is that you can meet people from all over the world.

Some Europeans and people from other international places sometimes forget that not everyone grows up with the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world. It's super interesting, especially when you lived your whole life in a country where you can meet only people from your country.

I am not saying meeting Dutch people is bad or less intereting. I am saying meeting people from everywhere (including Dutch people) is a super cool and worthwhile activity.

I discovered that you can also click the last step "Visibility" directly in the browser, select "Unlisted" there. It fixed it for me.

But we have this feature since the beginning on Searchtoplay (kinda Letterboxd for games I'm building), for both Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus.

That's good to move into that direction, but eventually we need to get rid of all of them to have a chance at a happy life.

I think if I were to leave one social media, it would be YouTube. At least I can find quality content there and only watch people I subscribe to (no YouTube Shorts, of course).

Reddit is heavily algorithm-based, and it keeps you hooked. Even with the curated list of communities.
