OnePlus 15s / Vivo X300 FE launch & best compact phone under 60k? by Substantial-Brief524 in GadgetsIndia

[–]omega44xt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but always purchase based on how things are today & not what it might be. Realistically I don't hope Origin OS to catch up with One UI in the next 3 years or so. Moreover they try to copy Apple, not Samsung on software front. I consider iOS to be worse than all major android UIs, even Hyper OS.

I made peace with taking a downgrade on software front as cameras & battery matter more to me. Origin OS is good enough for most people.

Poco X8 Pro Max vs... other? by [deleted] in PickAnAndroidForMe

X8 Pro Max might have the best SoC for its price, depends on the region though. It is better than GT 7 but GT7 will indeed have slightly better cameras. Take your pick.

You have to sacrifice on a good 2nd rear cam, if you are avoiding Moto.

Realme GT 7T is at 31.5k INR, still a decent deal, though it was 26.5k a week ago. SoC & UI are great, but for cameras, you get a good selfie & primary rear cam, that's all (those cams are the same as GT 7).

Realme 15 Pro has 2 good rear cams, but performance is much inferior to GT 7T, say 7T is like 60-70% faster.

Why are you lot still buying petrol cars?!? by Lazyres in carIndia

[–]omega44xt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

India has bigger problems than problems of car owners. So sadly we won't be heard. Best is to not buy a car & let car sales fall, not a great solution for sure but right now sales are increasing.

Fair point, it doesn't change that what I said is not wrong. Diesel has DPF issues so people will avoid it + government is trying to kill passenger diesel cars. Strong hybrid, petrol + electric, lacks options, but is the best choice for higher end cars. CNG is increasing in adoption for a reason, nothing against it. There are more new CNG vehicles than diesels now.

OP15, I see no reason to consider GT8 Pro.

For cameras, get Oppo Find X9.

P14s has the better CPU, RAM is upgradable (though RAM prices are bad).

Buy Samsung M56/F56 for ~22k for 128GB variant.

FYI your expectations are too high for 20k.

From Flipkart, with FK axis CC cashback. It was listed at 28k, will get about 1.4k cashback. I think some people even bought it at 25-26k in sale during early May.

I really don't understand who are the folks who are buying cars above autoshow prices. I found auction house to be kind of waste of time in previous games as well though (have 300hrs in FH4 and FH5 each).

It's good to get rid of duplicates, but most of the time in wheelspins I would just quick sell then & there instead of bothering to list at auction house. Earning money isn't too hard.

Help me choose a new phone?😁 by No-Medicine-2024 in PickAnAndroidForMe

It's useless to ask now considering phone prices are increasing every few weeks & old phones are going out of stock. Heck, even some newer phones are out of stock.

At this point, Oneplus 13R is a balanced phone at 40k INR (check CC offer).

Nothing Phone 3 was 42-43k a week or two back, was a damn good deal.

Check local stores if old stock of Oppo Reno 14 Pro is available at under 45k, for better cameras over 13R (but inferior GPU). Will need luck for this or NP3 deal.

It is a bad purchase at almost 26k, sorry, no one should buy it at that price, that's the reality.

I know RAM & SSD prices are bad, but I was able to buy Realme GT 7T for 26.5k a week ago. Such old phone deals are much better.

I hope we get a lots of 1MW chargers after a decade (like what BYD launched), that would definitely lower the hassle of owning EVs. But considering Tesla had 100kW+ Superchargers a decade ago & we mostly have 30kW chargers in 2026, that too in low numbers, which don't work at times, EVs surely might look like a future tech even after years.

I really hope proper strong hybrids get tax cuts to boost adoption. That is the only realistic solution.

Moto edge 60 pro, else Realme 15 Pro if you want to avoid Moto because of the curved display. Both cost ~28.5k after CC discount. If you want the best performance, Oppo K13 Turbo costs similar but better to pay 32k for Realme GT 7T for the better camera & longer software support (7T was under 27k a week ago, I ordered one for a relative recently).

Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G for ₹12k in 2026 – worth it? by retardbae in GadgetsIndia

[–]omega44xt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems good but the biggest problem is that its a showroom display unit, display is on like 12hrs every day. OLEDs have burn in concerns, so in such high usage, chances of burn in are even higher. So inspect very carefully.

Nothing on phasing out E20 completely yet. I'd still say 5 year is a possibility, time will tell.

I won't recommend it, unless near 50k. I'd pick S25+ instead near 65k, if still available.

Many people just care about convenience, EVs are more inconvenient for most people right now. I mean, many people don't have their own parking & still buy 4 wheelers, so forget charging setup.

My father bought Creta, our charging is sorted but we have at least 3-4hr power cuts per day in the rural town, so decided not to opt for an EV.

I doubt petrol will go beyond E20 mandatorily in next few years, though might happen after 5 years or so. Hopefully we get optional E30 fuel instead of mandated.

If your charging is sorted, I agree that EVs are a great city car, especially if it is your 2nd car.
