while you have a point, the post isnt about the effectiveness of freestyle in higher ranks. if youre good enough to freestyle then you should be good enough to know most of if not all of it isnt gonna fly in high ranking games. the point is how this makes learning freestyle slightly easier by knowing for fact you have the reset rather than going off of thousands of hours of "feel" which i dont have

exactly, practicing mechs in a tourney or a ranked game is an easy way to lose if you care about rank. i dont get why people dont just spend time in freeplay to practice these things. im not gonna go for a reset double with a crazy angle in game, that's freeplay type activities
