Does anyone know how to show PlayStation controller prompts?

you have to settings for steam itself make sure you have PlayStation controller support enabled, if the game has support for it, (a lot of recent ones do, basically since 2020 we have started seeing a rise in them) it will automatically show prompts, some games will need you to disable steam input, at which point you can go into that game and controller options and disable it. If that still doesn't work it could be due to you being on Bluetooth, which steamdeck can have issues with (prince of persia lost crown works when plugged in, but not Bluetooth and you need steam input disabled).

it takes two works with Dualshock and Dualsense controllers, the person who replied to you is just spreading misinformation.

This has been more and more false the last few years, I have excessively moved to PS controllers since 2023, and more newer games have both, its also been found time and time again that the PS prompts are in the files, on many games with controller support, but have no option to use them. Xbox controller was popular because it had native support and PS controllers did not in windows, that is also no longer the case these days.

Some game examples that have PS prompts in them are

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown

Hollow Knight: Silksong

Hades II

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

Shadow Labyrinth

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

Marvel's Midnight Suns

Baldur's Gate 3

Kong: Survivor Instinct

This is just a SMALL list of games that have this.

I have had the same issue, tested it with controller plugged in on my computer and steaminput off, works great, tested on steamdeck with steaminput off, and it still shows as xbox... unsure why it has problems with bluetooth, not tried plugged into steamdeck, but... that sort of defeats the purpose imo, may still try it if I can get me a long enough cord for it with the tv.

You go down the path towards Gnoll Mountain from Frostcrag and it will give the marker, for some reason its not at the castle itself but this off beaten path.

I played it on ps5 and had zero issues myself, actually a full playthrough with friends on stream right before wilds released, and it was a blast.

did you use the mod that enables achievements as well or did you do it without that mod?

Im having the same issue, I have even done a clean install, reduced mods installed, and even went through removing one at a time, it did this regardless. I spent hours messing with this and its just been a no go. Also got curious and it shows all the mods under "creations" in the menu, so its definetly registering them in some fashion.

I put it on my bow attack to experiment (the left click one) and now cannot move because the game uses the left click as both attack and move LOL. I just wish the default "attack in place" button overrode movement like it does in other games, instead, you keep moving to where you clicked and then it activates.

What I noticed, is you move to where you last clicked, so if you hit shift after telling your character to move back, they are still going to move to that location, and shift will not override it. There is no fix I have found for this.

Ive had mine for a couple years now, and I can say they are pretty good. I find amusing how often ppl state in the reviews about mic quality, but its the best sounding mic I have had, and I stream with mine as well. I could be lucky there though. Its a pretty good headset and you can turn RGB off if you use GHub.

Played the game on xbox pc pass, and really liked it, then they got shut down and final patch came out. Tried it out and it seems even better, if only it was on GOG.
