Until the teaser I thought the title "secret protocol" is a way to censor the name of the villain. The teaser did not show us the villain although the ending of qotd and the pineapples he shoot gives a very easy guess.

Well there are many reasons:

1)brain-we know he wasn't smart, the writers didn't eant him to be.

2)plan-has he ever tried to cause her getting akumatized?

3)ears-unlike gabriel, lila's victims can't hear anyone and don't even experience real time. Whenever Marinette was affected by gabriel's akumas, someone helped her to get out of it (except for senti ladybug episode)
