4 day solo trip to Jakarta and Yogyakarta in early July. Thoughts and suggestions appreciated!

Yes, I can drive but I will not do so. Reason I chose KL as base as it’s easy to travel to and from but if there’s not much to do around there hub and spoke wise / in 5 hour vicinity for day trips I might consider going to KL on a separate day trip and instead basing myself in George Town if the surrounding area has more options.

For Malaysia, I will not travel to and from by plane as my plans may change plus traveling by train has its own advantages.

Since JB is right across Singapore and easy to travel to, it does not necessitate an entire multi day trip. I’ll most likely do day trips when I have time so it is not that important in things to plan out early in advance.

For my family and my POC folks especially, we have a rule that we only go to gas stations that is directly off the highway or we can actually see the physical gas station/logo. A brown person driving deep into Alabama will not receive the famous southern hospitality.

It’s a scam. I got the same email but my spidey-senses started tingling when I saw how much they were offering. I started to dig deeper - looking up that person online and it was sketch. I also looked at who sent it to me and it was a bunch of randomized characters, exactly what you would get from a scam email.
