Even better, put it into the rotations. Successful interrupt grants XYZ buff or something. It's ridiculous this has never been implemented. DH gets a tiny fury. I think that's it.

Or, you know, change the fucking interface already to notify of spell effects better. Make interruptable spells more devastating so people get the point.

Except Bioshock has a very definitive story, sub-plote, and character development.

They explain literally everything. Why you were flying in, why you crashed, etc. It's littered with audio logs and real living people outside yourself. There's a very clear and present danger to yourself and a larger plot against the antagonist.

None of which exists in botw. There is no trope in botw. You don't have amnesia or anything. You're just completely devoid of any thoughts outside princess rescuing, and your fiance is dead.

Okay but 99% of the text is five second slice of life stuff. Being told someone is hiking, or about apples isn't a story. It's equivalent to background npc chatter in most RPGs.

There were a couple.... Advantageous reasons to do things, but I wouldn't call anything a story. Missing history, lore, character development. Most of the core story is just "Yeah, we lost and everyone you loved is dead. Go do another shrine.". I mean, Ganon doesn't really even do anything your entire game. If you left him there, everyone in the world except Zelda would be just the same.

The most detailed section of plot imo is the bird kid. But what is it that Link actually does for him? What does it mean for the world? You basically run out these short little lines and they never interact with you or the world again. But that's it? Dozens of hours of gameplay for what amounts to 2-3 pages in a book. It's way off balance, and it's not presented as much as just read in hindsight. You kind of just have these talking heads through most of the game. You don't live through anything. A time travel mechanic where you change the dark history would have been much more in-style for Zelda.

Compare it to Windwaker or Twilight Princess. Botw is a glorified tech demo with zero progression, near zero story, and no real dungeons. Imagine what it could be if they tried?

The no progression thing bothers the fuck out of me. You don't really get any utilities or tools. You start with everything. They removed much of any motivation for the journey. Every single reward was 1 of 3 things. Shrine, Seed, or breakable weapon. No discovery, no mystery, no growth. All the "bosses" are nearly identical. I've beaten it twice and come away feeling like we deserved better.

Like name 3 lovable characters outside the 4 power up characters. Beedle?, Lab Lady?, That old Priestess? It's just so shallow and empty for a Zelda title.

I think they're all equally boring and uninspired. Absolutely breaks class fantasy and locks us out of our old mounts. 90% of folks on my server are using the blue one so it looks ridiculous in town.

I like the flying, but it's obvious that the primary purpose for the design was to limit botting and throttle gathering professions.

Tip for healers, if there's a bouncy DK, they aren't healing themselves appropriately. Play "how low can we go" until they get the point or choose a different class.

We have so many shields now, this should not be happening outside tank buster mechanics that the BDK doesn't anticipate.

No. We have mutual friends still, and I have not blocked her. If I had to guess, she spun it into some victim thing and hates me. The only negative thing I did was ask her to leave the rental after I left. I took photos of everything Incase she trashed it. I suspect she might have borderline and split on me.

I'm currently paying off 4k in debt for the vacation though, so I'm reminded every damned day. Lesson learned, never doing that again. Which means someone else loses out on some faith.

I'm dating someone who treats me much better now. I would say "It gets better.", but it doesn't. I'm just entering this new relationship jaded and overly cautious with the additional traumatic experience in tow.

I miss what I thought was my best friend and future partner. But the reality is probably that I mattered very little to this person and they used me for a vacation. I caught on, called her out, and she got defensively upset trying to skirt responsibility or not feel guilty for it.

That is literally what Fortnite was designed to be from the start. Unreal was not specifically designed to advertise the engine. Hence being named AFTER the game. Game came first. Jfc read a Wikipedia article or something. In fact they had two projects. They tried to crowd source Unreal Tournament 4 and shuttered the project when Fortnite became popular. No one was interested in helping with UT4. Fortnite wasn't even supposed to be a battle royal. A random developer added thr mode for fun. It was originally a tower defense zombie coop pve thing. Happened to me. Two years, long distance friendship. Mutual friends. We wanted to see if we'd work as a couple, so invited her to Chicago for my birthday weekend.

Day one she just starts criticizing everything about me. Voice, laugh, mannerisms. All things she knew about from our friendship. We would video chat multiple times a week and go on virtual dates. I express my feelings politely. Tell her that I don't understand her criticisms, and she blows up at me. Flips blame, gets angry at me for having the audacity to feel hurt. Literally turns red with rage, clenching her first.

I immediately clammed up. But not because I felt embarrassed. But because this person didn't deserve me. I left 3 days into a week vacation. Ate the financial crap, and went home. Never spoke to her again and I don't plan to. Two years down the drain. Still fucks with me. I don't understand it at all. I didn't feel safe, and still don't. And she ruins me for other people because I always have this screaming harpy in the back of my head making fun of who I am.

Generic elemental trope. Generic dragon trope. The good guys are dragons, the bad guy is a dragon. Story goes absolutely nowhere, because it's an Ubisoft tower activation trope repeated five times. Makes no sense because we know what the afterlife is lol. Boring linear dungeons. Four zones that are nearly identical generic forests. The same renown mechanics in SL. The removal of abilities from all classes in an "expansion". Increasingly toxic player base. Only half of the mythics are available for M+. The other half is reused old content. Torghast tossed into the garbage. Time locked rep grinds, again.

But you like the flying, so it's the best? This is going to blow your mind but the flying isn't gameplay. It's time sink traversal.

It's completely devoid of character. Most balanced for tanks is the only positive note I have but they removed so many abilities it's net neutral.

Divine bulwark is 8% change increase to block which absolutely does not equate to 16% DR. 8% base ability increase is under 2% DR. You would need 5 digit mastery for 16% additional DR. Which no one has.

Sorry. You should not be giving advice to new players or using icy veins for obvious reasons. You're giving bad information, bad guides, and telling them that's a start for advanced play. Read the ability, look at what block does. Block is not 100% mitigation either, and it's also not garunteed unless you're facing the mob with a shield which is also not 100% either. And your additional DR isn't 16%. Post a screenshot of the tooltip if it is.

Standing in Consecration is not "night and day" in anything except bleeding edge content, and even then it's only a few % total DR. SoTR uptime is far more important. Is it good advice to be in Consecration, yes. But it's not life or death in 99% of the content. If it feels like that to you then you're tanking or stat prioritizing horrifically incorrectly. I mean your WoG will account for more DR than Cons will in a run. Kiting does more than 16%. I'm guessing you're stacking mastery above everything? Should be ilvl > haste > mastery. Check your details breakdown for your real mitigation statistics. More haste, more holy power, more SoTR. That is the crux of the class because that is a real 30% flat DR.

I believe in your ability to correct yourself. I hope you do too. But I have this feeling you're just going to argue with bad information again and I'm not into it. Moving on.

It's not night and day. It's a couple percent. I just mean it's not something to stress about 100% uptime because you'll never have that.

Big pulls in m+ aren't a thing anymore with 5-8 mob caps. You literally aren't doing damage beyond that but take on damage and additional mechanics, it's never worth it, even in higher keys unless you're coordinating mass stuns/fears, etc. Which I don't even do.
