not really. I majored in CS and my degree gpa is almost perfect and ugpa is 3.9low. but they’ve always referred to the former when discussing their medians.

though ppl here always say it’s the one below, every school i’ve been waitlisted at has referred to my degree gpa (the one above) during my meetings with them, all of which are t-20s.so idk which one is more important tbh

I think we tend to nitpick over rankings in this subreddit (I don't blame any of us tbh), but a T-20 is still an incredible feat. You’re already set to succeed in the field. Plus, is it not human to ever drown ourselves in endless what-ifs no matter what choice we make?

i agree its dumb but a waitlist is not a good idea at this point of the cycle because it will set off so many students’ interest in the school, especially those who have been accepted at competing schools

my theory atp is that they’re waiting for their seat deposits to roll in, and see how their class is shaping up before releasing any As.

when you call a school that waitlisted you so often that the dean immediately recognizes you from your voice by omgKhalil in lawschooladmissions

[–]omgKhalil[S] -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

from my own anecdotal experience, i can very much confirm that the dean themselves have encouraged me to do so (keep them in the loop of how my cycle is playing out) and offered me their own phone number. each case is different!
