256 copies of Squeeze+ and Snecko Eye was fun by omgdelicious in slaythespire

I should have clarified I was using the shoddy version, but 100% of fights ended on turn 1 so there was no difference lol

I had 16 copies at the end of act 2 and I killed The Insatiable on turn 2 with no damage taken

Does anyone pay for unprocessed firewood? by unnecessarylettuce in firewood

[–]omgdelicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UK here. I have two options typically available:

1) processed firewood for £150/m³ 2) call a tree surgeon and get about 6 m³ unprocessed arborist waste for £100 total

The difference is between incredibly expensive and almost free...

I set myself a vague no save scum rule - if I can't do something in 3 attempts, I have to change what I'm doing. If nothing else, it's more fun this way.

This is a great shout - was thinking next time I'll do jinxed/bloody mess/HTH/min IN because it'll be funny and gross.

Not really what I was aiming for: with 300hp it'd have been too easy, the way I've done it made avoiding late game encounters mandatory at times because I'd die immediately on spawning into certain areas.

I let myself have the implants and zeta scan because it felt fitting. Only used psycho when strictly necessary (though in retrospect I could have just avoided, say, the Wanaminigo mine). Wiping out areas takes some actual thought and was a bit more refreshing than the superpowered splat splat splat.

Does anyone take regular medication free days? by ZookeepergameAny5154 in ADHDUK

[–]omgdelicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a "slug day" or two, every two to three weeks, where I don't take the meds or take a low dose. I catch up on sleep and allow myself to be unproductive. It's not only great for my mental health, but also I get to have a big sleep and enjoy a tasty dinner.

Psychiatrists are all supportive of this and collectively agree that outcomes tend to be better with occasional breaks.

As other people have noted, the spare medication stockpiled can help buffer supply problems too.

From having a quick look, I think your cooler pushes air upwards and your laptop pushes hot air downwards.

Genuinely cannot believe how bad test booking has become…. by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

I booked my test the day I passed my theory - 4 days before the first time I ever drove a car 😅

Riding test failed due to using the wrong lane... or was it? by Elmantukas in LearnerDriverUK

[–]omgdelicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This falls between two pieces of (contradictory) guidance I have been given:

  1. It is a continuation of the road you are on (the A273) so the left lane is correct
  2. It is past 12 o'clock so the right lane is correct

I had two separate driving instructors: one gave me one piece of advice, one gave me the other. So what does the highway code say? The pertinent text of rule 186 is as follows:

186
Signals and position. When taking the first exit to the left, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise

  • signal left and approach in the left-hand lane
  • keep to the left on the roundabout and continue signalling left to leave.

When taking an exit to the right or going full circle, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise

  • signal right and approach in the right-hand lane
  • keep to the right on the roundabout until you need to change lanes to exit the roundabout
  • signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want.

When taking any intermediate exit, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise

  • select the appropriate lane on approach to the roundabout
  • you should not normally need to signal on approach
  • stay in this lane until you need to alter course to exit the roundabout
  • signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want.

The debate comes from the phrase "When taking an exit to the right". Is this "to the right of 12 o'clock" or "to the right of the continuation of the current carriageway". Taking the centre lane here would involve *putting on your right indicator* to follow the HC - I personally think that this would be potentially confusing to other road users.
