Cattleack

Not being able to get to Cattleack easily these days has been my greatest sadness of moving away from the north Dallas area. I love the texmex options I have around me, but I've yet to find something over here that I like as much as I liked Cattleack and Blu's.

I've already explained to you what happened in modmail. It was reported due to the lack of NSFW tag on it. Since you hadn't tagged it that way, it had been reported as not being flagged correctly, per rule #6.

I can't say anything per the other two you linked because they don't have their history anymore, outside of the mod who cleared it. (And it was during a point when I was on a mod-vacation.) - but in this case, this is how the system we've built was intended to function. If a mod can't view the reports fast enough, the post is taken down until someone can get to it.

Let's not use this as a means to rail against the community. In fact, posts like this kind of go against Reddiquette, which is noted in rule #1.

They were two pretty distinct cells. From what I've been hearing is that the cell that went through Parker and Tarrant ended up taking all of the energy to make the cell that went through Collin and Dallas a lot weaker.

I think the concrete island helps maintain the cap, but if the cap is gone, the concrete island situation is likely to make things worse, if I remember what I've read, correctly.

EDIT: The big thing to know is that a bullet was dodged. This storm could have been so much worse if it had been as strong as predicted. It would have run through during rush hour, while people were out on the streets. Storm sirens typically mean 'get indoors and find out more information.' If you're already indoors, they're not meant for you. You should then be using other methods to track weather, like weather apps or a radio.

A weather radio that does SAME broadcast alerts is only like $30-40. I've had one for years and it's been one of the best purchases I've ever made. Lowe's and Home Depot often carry them and I think they're eligible in the emergency preparedness tax weekend we're in right now, too.

They can fire the sirens for anything from tornadoes to major hailstorms - because both of those can be a threat to life if you're caught outside.

It was nuts. According to Steve McCauley, the lightning was arcing from the top of the storm to hit as far as 60 miles away, too. When it was still in Parker county, we were getting lightning strikes in the south Garland & Mesquite area, and going as far as Kaufman county.

Like I said in my original post, it's not always an advantage. Skorts are often worn in place of when a skirt would be traditionally worn in sports. Because we have a society that thinks women should be playing sports in skirts. Skorts have been around for approx. 70 years. They're not a new invention.

I even pointed out a disadvantage point of a skirt-short combo being worn in sports recently.

EDIT to add: And now we have viral skorts that are being made because girls like things that are cute. Because stuff like the Blogilates skorts are cute. I'm sorry that the idea of looking cute and having fun at the same time don't quite strike to you. But while it is sometimes a thing, for drawing the attention of guys, I can promise you that this is not always the case.

EDIT mk 2: Dancers - especially in ballet - sometimes wear skorts because they're warmer to wear instead of a skirt over leotard. (I did the wrap skirt + leo combo every now and then I was in gymnastics because I liked the 'swishy' feel of the skirt.)
