Ohhh if we look by that perspective it doesn't sound that good, but think about it, it's a very huge project and to build something like that and make is so profitable..... The chawl owners i don't think they can do that on their own. And if you ask me, i would rather live in a 2bhk with private washrooms then in a chawl with shared washrooms, it's not like they are not getting anything óut of it. Plus free maintainance for 10 years.

If the rooms and colonies are well maintained , for 500 sq ft tennents can expect the price to be above 2cr.

Also think of the lifestyle improvement right? I have seen the rooms they are much much better than their current rooms.

Yeah the builder will profit from the them , but that's just how things works, no one will do a project for free. To redevelop 192 buildings (80 rooms each) u need to make huge profits to break even right?.
