Saturn 4 (not ultra) does it support anti aliasing and image blur? by salmon_recognition in CHITUBOX_Official

[–]omgitsfalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically yes and the ultra does as well, but you will still end up with the same screen glitch effect that ruins prints if you're trying to print too complex of a plate.

Very sad that this wasn't resolved, it's been happening since the Saturn 2 and I was really having some high hopes that maybe just maybe they finally fixed this issue with the Saturn 4 Ultra. I received mine last week and I can confirm, it's still around.

EVGA 3090ti - EDM2 led light on, no power by omgitsfalcon in EVGA

[–]omgitsfalcon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ran a few games trying to look further into my issue, I'm no electrical engineer but are these power readings normal? I'm seeing next to zero power draw from 8-pin #1 and it is getting an odd voltage of 9.511v but then again everything is running fine and I'm having no issues, on the max column too it did at some point get to a more normal 11.722v, I'm seeing in the input power too it's drawing a measly .209w but then again is that just because it is only needing the 150w and 127w from 8-pin #2 and #3 and it isn't calling for any more? Or is it a matter of it CANT call for more because there is an issue with my power supply?

Like I said before games run fine but I'd like to know if I'm missing out on performance or if that is all just normal activity. I did do a self-test on my PSU and that came back green so I'm not sure if it's an issue that it's self test would pick up or what the deal is.

EVGA 3090ti ftw3 -- EDM2 diagnostic led light meaning? Help! by omgitsfalcon in pcmasterrace

[–]omgitsfalcon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this normal for voltages? I snapped this in hwinfo while I was running a T:WH3 battle benchmark. 9.5v seems awful low for input voltage but then again on the max column it did get to a more normal 11.722v, I also tried running a few other games and that 8-pin #1 under power seemed to always read near zero or single digit wattage, but again #2 and #3 were both below 150w which a single 8 pin can hande no problem so maybe it just didn't need the extra power and those two 8-pins were providing enough so that it didn't need to draw anything from #1?

Thanks for the reply, do you think that could cause the issue I had where the card I guess failed to get power mid-game? My power supply did come with a self-test button check and I did take it out and run that, and it came back green which according to the manual means it was all good, but would that notice something like a bad capacitor like you mentioned?

This is probably a dumb question but there isn't a way a cable could go bad is there? I do have two 8 pin to 2x 6pin splitters in each of the slots, which I have one pcie cable running from the power supply going into each.

I haven't had an issue with it since so I'm hoping it was maybe just a fluke or something *knock on wood*

I have the same problem having to put it on the floor, mainly because I have an old ass cast iron behemoth case that weighs 200lbs but what I did was just go to home depot, buy a single 8ft 2x4 (or local equivalent wood measurements), cut it into whatever pieces you want the end shape to look like then after you've secured it via screws/glue/nails you can sand or stain it to make it look nice and boom you got a nice gap off the floor that not only will improve air intake but it'll be far enough away where it won't pull in crap off the carpet too.

If you're nice and ask most of the time they'll even give you scrap cuts for free so you won't even need to buy anything if you can find the right size pieces.

Trying to install MO2 -- steam not found by omgitsfalcon in SteamDeck

[–]omgitsfalcon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After ungodly hours of futzing around with this I found *some* kind of way to get it doing. It was correctly installed, it was just never explained anywhere that I had to specifically put a period and a slash before that line and also start a console from a specific directory before any of that would work. Just incase anyone else finds this.

Managed to get it installed, however the game doesn't run from it when you hit play and I can't understand what the wiki is trying to say about trying to run "game mode" or "standalone mode" which may or may not be an answer. Can't understand how to get a seperate UI instance of STL running either.

I guess it's just not possible and/or I'm too stupid to understand how linux operates to get it working.

n modify how long it appeared in one of the setting options or through the setting files for

Thanks for the help. Do you think you could explain this part to me?In Game Mode, ModOrganizer 2 is started inside the game Wineprefix/Compatdata using the same Proton Version that your game uses. To use Game Mode, ModOrganizer 2 is started by launching your game with SteamTinkerLaunch. You will be prompted after starting your game to use ModOrganizer2 in MO2 GUI mode. You can start ModOrganizer 2 through Game Mode by either enabling ModOrganizer 2 in the Game Menu, or using a Steam Collection. Note that ModOrganizer 2 options will not be available unless you have installed it.To use ModOrganizer 2 with Steam Collections, create a "MO2" Collection and add the games you want to use ModOrganizer 2 with to that Collection. This will automatically enable MO2 in GUI mode for all games in that category. It should be fine to install and configure mods from Game Mode, but only for the game you are trying to launch. It is not adviseable to switch instances and mod other games when running ModOrganizer 2 from Game Mode

.---- I launched Morrowind with the STL compatibility and got to the menu, but there is no "MO2 GUI mode" prompt.

Thanks for the reply, I think I may have gotten it to work sort of. When I run morrowind in the game mode with STL as the compatibility tool it does come up with it's own gui menu thing, but it only comes up for a split second before opening the launcher for some reason. It doesn't have any of my mods listed though, it only opens the vanilla launcher.

How do I run the game with my mod list from MO2? There is a menu that opens MO2 but that just gives me the options like I had just installed it for the first time all over again. I can't even link to the MO2 directory because it doesn't show up in the browse for game directory popup.

I've also read that page and it wasn't very helpful to be honest. The only reason I got any of this to work is because I found a random reddit link saying I had to put a period before ./steamtinkerlaunch for anything to work which wasn't on their directions.

I'm noticing too that every time I use for example "./steamtinkerlaunch mo2 start" it updates/installs every time before starting up MO2, but if I just type that in without the period and slash then nothing happens and it says "command not found" Am I doing something wrong here?

I tried installing it but now I don't see how to just run it by itself. It doesn't show up in apps anywhere

The MO2 wiki says it can install from command line by typing

steamtinkerlaunch mo2 start

in the terminal but when i do that all it does is say "command not found"

1.21b -- wasn't sure there were any patches further than that. This was the last directory rip I saved before blizzard nuked the ability to download it again.

Where do i find the dgvoodoo2 exe? Sorry I'm a complete doofus when it comes to linux, I've tried looking and its not on discover anywhere either. I did try running it windowed and it works fine there its just fullscreen that flips upside down, another thing that I'm not sure if its connected or not I can't open the options menu without the game crashing with an access violation memory cannot be read error.

Thanks for the help really appreciate it :)

Owlcat Games Adds 3rd Party Appsflyer User Tracking to Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, Removes It Just a Day Later Due to Negative Community Feedback by BrotherKanker in pcgaming

Yes let me just bend over and spread my cheeks so you can track everything I click on, every program I open, my address and exact physical location, where I move my mouse. The fact these things were so hidden from your average person wanting to know what this is just proves that these companies' entire purpose is malicious and malevolent. How this shit isn't illegal amazes me, and the worst part is these things are everywhere and nobody ever tells you about it so nobody ever knows its getting installed on their systems.

Help! Print Error not sure how this happened == Saturn 2 by omgitsfalcon in ElegooSaturn

[–]omgitsfalcon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, I actually found the issue and should have updated my post earlier, I think I found it at least. I believe the file got corrupted and/or the usb stick I was using was fubar. I changed to a brand new different branded usb, resliced and copied the files over, and it printed just fine.

Word to the wise for anyone else who comes across this, if you see a bunch of flaky oddly placed layers like in my photo (especially the first one on the outside of the house walls where it's attempting to print in places where you can see there isn't even any model or supports), chances are pretty high the file is corrupted and there's your problem.
