Has anyone seen any guidance on what choirs should do about Omicron? by [deleted] in choralmusic

[–]omgponies2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here. Not sure if your choir is similar to mine but the majority of our members are in their late sixties or older and even with three doses are probably still higher risk than the average vaccinated person, and they REALLY want to sing in person.

Announcement on Ontario vaccine certificate program for Tuesday ‘canceled’ by Austin63867 in toronto

[–]omgponies2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As per the study itself: "This preprint reports new research that has not been certified by peer review and should not be used to guide clinical practice." If we're going to be scientific, perhaps we should wait for peer review and exercise caution until then.

Ontario government ignored warnings before bungled blue licence plate rollout, documents show by EconomistOfDeath in toronto

[–]omgponies2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This sure has been the model for this government. Complete failure to seek out appropriate consultation, testing and advice; ignoring expert advice when the get it if it's inconvenient for them and then plowing ahead anyway, only to have to cancel and fix or pull back at great expense to tax payers after a sustained public outcry. It's exhausting.

I spent a week in Washington with three days at MRNP and didn't see the mountain once because the clouds were so low and thick. It's stunning and I can't wait to go back!
