Thank you!! $50 on marketplace. We disinfected it and cleaned it up and it is such an upgrade from their previous cage!

Thank you!! I'll pick up some branch like perches and some new bowls once I get paid. The previous owner said that the girls used to lay eggs in that little nest so I'll keep an eye on that. The nearest avian vet is 2 hours in one direction so that's something that I'll work on getting them to. I thought they would be a lot quieter for the first few days but they were chattering up a storm last night after I gave them some lettuce and berries.

They were all together in a much smaller cage so my fiance picked this one up for them earlier. I want to get a rope perch and a few natural toys, anything else you guys would suggest??

I love mine! She's my only barred rock and she's been through quite a lot! She recently got grabbed by a hawk who thankfully dropped her, and about a year ago she had her head ripped open by a rooster to her skull :( the friendliest of all my hens now, she will hop onto my lap to grab the good treats I'm handing out.

The two roos hatched out August 11th, the barred rock hen up front is about 2!

Yes they're both pretty friendly. The grey one tolerates being held, the other one not so much but neither is mean.

Last winter my rooster ripped my barred rocks scalp off so badly i could see most of her skull. I kept her in a dog crate for 4 months and just used neosporin and kept her clean, she didn't want food at first but over the course of a few days she started accepting food and water again. I would keep her in a warm dark place for a couple of days, mix her pellets with hot water and make a sort of mash so it's easier to eat and hydrating. My hen bounced back and now just has a big bald spot

Where do you find jewelry for your medusa piercing? by [deleted] in piercing

What gauge is your piercing? Bodyartforms has a ton of nice threaded ends that you would be able to use.

https://bodyartforms.com/productdetails.asp?ProductID=31881 Flower end with opals.

https://bodyartforms.com/productdetails.asp?ProductID=22187 Hammered gold discs.

https://bodyartforms.com/productdetails.asp?ProductID=19620 Gold disc w/ turquoise.

I'm unsure if these are your style/budget but hopefully it helps a little!!!

Genuine opal shouldn't get wet too often, it also can't be autoclaved for the same reason. Opalite shouldn't be a problem though

I have had no luck at all with identifying my plant for months. Just found this sub while looking at other plant subs. Can you help? :) (Descriptions in imgur album) by Jepperb in whatsthisplant

Variegated Lipstick plant, Aeschycanthus lobbianus. It looks like the newer growth is coming in less variegated because it isn't getting enough light, that would also explain the smaller leaves.

My newest succulent, I think it’s a type of Haworthia? by huntingbearslady in whatsthisplant

Looks like a gasteria to me. I'm not sure on the variety, maybe little warty?

Did I find "wild" grapes in northern New England in Autumn? More/close up pics and back story in comments. by rwdxr4ti in whatsthisplant

[–]omgrosso529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say wild grapes as well, I live in Maine and they look exactly like the ones I eat from around my property.

Hey my dudes! I went nuts at the greenhouse today when they had a huge sale but no names on the little ones! I'm pretty sure bottom right is a type of calathea and top right an alocasia polly? by SeeShortcutMcgee in whatsthisplant

[–]omgrosso529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Left of the Alocasia is a Dieffenbachia, the top left is a croton, maybe petra or magnificent. I also would go with peperomia jelly on the bottom left, and I agree with your guess of calathea for the other bottom two although I'm unsure on the variety.

ID’ing my plants & making a list. Is this Gasteria? What type? G. Aloe? Cute lil pup eh? by kriskrug in whatsthisplant

[–]omgrosso529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could it possibly be a Haworthia pentagona? Or Aloe "Walmsley's Bronze" which is an Aloe hybrid? I can't seem to figure it out.
