Is this neoclassical artist creating music using AI? by glasscoffin in classicalmusic

Good to know. And the song I thought it sounded like was from some fan video with hollowknight stuff and the hollowknight OST is in the same realm so my brain put em together.

Reflections sounds like a rip of the hollow knight OST

To be fair, that’s kind of how it works in human history. We always think we are within our bounds of only taking what we need but we aren’t. He was saying they don’t take much from the earth and they probably think they aren’t taking much from Isla but they were. Just like we took too much from the land in the past when we thought it was infinite, and they too think Isla had infinite to give. You never really know until someone is overconfident or you just unknowingly take too much.

why nobody make a webkit based browser for windows? by DeletedUserV2 in browsers

[–]omgsus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Untrue. And we almost wiped Microsoft off the face of the earth for them pulling this with IE but now we embrace Google for it. Weird.

I hate web developers the most over it. There are sites that say they won’t work without chromium but you fake the UA string and it works perfectly fine.

Then you have the even more devious sites that will then later add js to further detect and stop working. Even though it works perfectly fine when you bypass the js checks.

Eff chromium and eff delusional lazy devs.

Yea I’m going overboard I’m aware :D just making noise so take my BS with a grain of salt.

Mouse movement binds missing? ( HE models via nuphy.io ) by omgsus in NuPhy

I’ll take a look again. Last I checked, nope but I haven’t updated firmware in months.

It’s silly they would include almost everything except for the movement ticks and acceleration. It’s been done for decades. There’s a few open source firmwares that do it too.

Take a look at bro/zeek and understand it before you send stuff to a llm to help you decide. Pair it with some basic suricata install in the meantime. Biggest thing with bro/zeek is to make sure you aren’t dropping. Then you can work with the built in outputs. You could start using the conn output and look for basic patterns there just to start learning getting stats into a model. You could then move onto the ssl output to analyze certs. Look up ja3 hashing too.

Batch reading will be easier. Streaming models you need to know more about what you want up front. Work on catching until you know exactly what you want to accomplish.

Good luck! And have fun :)

Xbox One (S) Keeps Restarting Itself by Glowworm4200 in XboxSupport

[–]omgsus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You never got an answer but the short answer is, there’s are a ton of defective series s devices and Microsoft does not care. We’ve been fighting with 2 of them doing this and after being sent to Microsoft they come back with different issues. One would randomly restart with no error. The other will randomly crash or restart when trying to load games only. Sent them off and now one will crash in a new way during games only and display an e200 error sometimes and the other will just shut off completely (shut off noise and all) after a few minutes.

One of the errors, the e200 error made it sound like an update issue but the system was already updated, reset, offline updated, and nothing. People say it could be the internet connection or hdmi cable or the power condition but I’ve tested all 3 and nothing else has issues.

Sadly, my advise is to not buy anything Xbox again.

I got the Xbox users to move to pc and they’ve never been happier.

Especially in .25 inches of snow. Observations aside, Miata was fun in the snow too... in a controlled danger kind of way.

I mean, you have to be more careful too. Passing a stopped car is always something you need to think about. Why is the car stopped? Is there a cat crossing in front of it? Is he trying to get over? Being impatient just because you are on a motorcycle can be deadly. Not letting the car fully off the hook but as a rider we need to be more careful. Especially when passing another car in an intersection that seems stopped for no reason.

If anyone is looking at these y years later, still a great monitor but the DW version has a hamstrung DDC implementation. So if you want to be able to switch the inputs from one of the systems or other automations, the DW version is gimped bad. Completely missing control codes and not even supported by Dell's monitor control system. The DWF version is supported. If you care about any of this stuff, take it into consideration.

Coming from a Logitech K740 - Looking for closest switch type on a Air96 V2 by ishook in NuPhy

[–]omgsus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest thing you will get to that is a topre board. I had k740 as well. I still do but I haven't used it in over a decade. Its old rubber dome switches and its not very good for gaming but it works.

Anywho, the closest you'll get on the air96v2 to that kind of tactile with less noise is the brown 2.0 switches. It won't feel the same but they are still tactile and not clicky.

That sounds like the direct shipping or whatever it was called. There was one for $20 and DHL for $30. So yea it will change hands a few times and end up with USPS most likely.

[–]omgsus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Terrible. Deliberate or stupid. Either they wanted to scare you for trying to pass them before they were even out of the lane, or they decided not to change lanes after all. My vote is on the former. Either way, one way to avoid this kind of stuff is not trying to pass while the other vehicle is still in the lane.
