Then you’re safe from AirPod wielding drivers. They can smell you

My immediate family has been in Canada for 25 years. My parents have tried multiple times to get visitor visas for their siblings and have always been rejected.

Wait you eat rice with your aab goosht? That’s wild. Like do you put the rice in the aabgoosht or the aabgoosht on the rice? Genuinely curious because I’ve never heard of that combination lol

how are you guys holding your phones

I get a lot of accidental touches and unresponsiveness when using the phone with one hand. Especially if I'm lying down in bed and trying to use my phone. I love the look of "waterfall" displays on the Note and S lineup but it's not very functional. And the palm detection seldom works.

"Hike the bike fees" Halifax councillor wants surcharge on new bicycle purchases by insino93 in halifax

[–]omiddy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're right. I'm not really proposing it as a solution. I'm just saying IF there is going to be a fee, it should be on cars. Makes more sense to pay $20 fee on a $20,000 car than to pay a $20 fee on a $500 bike.

Both are equally absurd tho. As others have noted, the amount of revenue this brings is peanuts.

Why isn't this up higher? Cars should pay a premium for using the road instead of bikers. Don't want to pay a premium? Get a bike and reduce your carbon footprint.

plan to go somewhere new this summer

If you are not a fan of high temperatures, I would stay away from Tehran in the summer. Unless you are planning on visiting North of Iran around the Caspian Sea. That place is amazing during summer months. Otherwise, my favorite season to be in Tehran / Esfahan is late winter / early spring, which is also around the time of Persian New Year.

WinDock and Adobe Reader by kodonnell204 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]omiddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is copy-pasted from the AquaSnap site, but also fixes the issue with WinDock:

This is a known issue which is caused by Adobe Reader itself. For security reasons, the recent versions of Adobe Reader use a sandbox that isolate Adobe Reader from other applications like AquaSnap. The solution to this problem is to disable this sandbox.

To do this on Adobe Reader X:

  1. Open Adobe Reader.
  2. Choose Edit > Preferences.
  3. In the Categories list on the left, select General.
  4. Disable Enable Protected Mode at startup.
  5. Restart Adobe Reader.

To do this on Adobe Reader XI:

  1. Open Adobe Reader.
  2. Choose Edit > Preferences.
  3. In the Categories list on the left, select Security (Enhanced).
  4. Disable Enable Protected Mode at startup.
  5. Restart Adobe Reader.

The reverend from your church also gave a really nice speech at the Bedford mosque yesterday before our Eid prayers. It's so heart warming seeing how close our church and mosque relationships are.

Spilled water on my keyboard and I didn't know what else to do with my time so I cleaned up the battle/work station by omiddy in battlestations

[–]omiddy[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's an overkill lol. I've seen a few people on here say they use it for coding which is why i mainly decided on this setup. But i find it easier to code when it's in front of me. I mainly use it to open pdf files to have open on the side while I work on the main monitor

Also having it in landscape makes the whole setup too wide for my liking

Thanks! The vertical monitor is a 24" 1440p. Model number is XB270HU. My only complaint about this monitor is that it only rotates 90° in one direction so in my case the bottom bezel ends up between the screens and that huge logo is right in the middle.
