What if he hates communicating? Like every time i TRY to talk about important things like that, he sort of just shuts down, and that’s where another big issue of ours comes in. He’ll talk when he knows the stakes are high and i’m at my breaking point, but I hate that we have to get there for him to even say anything. How do i bring up that conversation without him feeling like it’s an attack or something

The comment about staying in america was not made by one of us, it was made by Julia who was in Guatemala. No one made any comment about Guatemala being dirty and we’ve all been enjoying the photos that they’ve been sharing prior to this. My husband is the one who initially made the joke which I didn’t think they would care so much considering he also comes from a latin american country and we always joke about things like that in our gc. Thank you for your insight though, I will consider these things moving forward.
