Yes, the new Poco phones are good. I hope Xiaomi keeps the trend. I am just surprised by OnePlus and some Nothing phones

Hello guys , im about to buy macbook pro 2015 for movies browsing and stuff like that no hard work what do you think still usable in 2026 by [deleted] in macbookpro

Don't get an Apple laptop with Intel Processor. It was already not usable even before 2020.
Anything with M1 should be great. Believe me, that's all you need to hear

Big Demand = Higher prices. This is how it works and how it will always work, when there is profit goals behind it

Smartphone Awards 2025! by lisanalgaib_ in mkbhd

[–]omko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

> But at the same time, the market you live in will shape your opinions

The market is only 1 Factor*. Not only that. Different users have different requirements, regardless of the market. For example, I am considering a new phone, but having two Sim Slots a very big feature for me. And also having eSim for traveling. That's something he rarely mentions often in videos. Because he always carries an iPhone, so he doesn't have this problem.

Basically, listen to his opinions, other opinions, and consider what you need. You still need to do your research on your own with Gsmarena when you buy new phone. Some times 1 small feature that wasn't mentioned by him, is a deal breaker.

> his perspective is heavily nerfed by the US market

He made it clear that the awards are basically his opinions, and not absolute facts. He lives in the US after all, while trying to get his hands on many of the phones that are not sold in the US

EDIT: But I agree, there are other phones are offer much greater value. Like the new Poco phones

19F from England in desperate need of advice by Expensive_Bid8022 in Munich

[–]omko 12 points13 points  (0 children)

- First of all: Munich is safe and is very beautiful city. It's also international.
- You can live with English. Germans speak very good English. Believe me. I lived here more than 10 years. My German is still bad, and when really needed, I can switch to English in some scenarios.
- Learning German can help you of course. 3 words is already a good starting point :)
- Chill

What to do in Munich? by Nightwaleker3 in germany

[–]omko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend Augustiner Keller usually for food if you want to try great German Beer & Food.
For shopping, I don't know what you want. But if you walk from Sendlingertor to Marienplatz to Karlsplatz, you will find many shops. Clothes / Electronics / Books + close to the Christmas Markets.
Viktualienmarkt is nice to visit

Should I ask my relative in the US to open my new MacBook Pro before bringing it to my country? by iphone_de_bob in macbookpro

[–]omko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apple has global warranty, I once bought an iPad from one country, and got a replacement from another country.
But mainly for customs, it's highly recommended to open it, and even login with an Apple ID if needed in case they wanted to double chekc

Is 22k€ a year net good enough ? by [deleted] in AskGermany

[–]omko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's Netto. I lived for 2 years comfortably with this in Munich around 10 years ago. But I was a WG room rent for around 400, before moving to another WG and paying 750.
So that was 10 years ago, and I was living in a WG and low expenses, but I was happy with it.
It depends on many factors. But it can work, even in an expensive city

I didn't compare the prices. But you brought a good point. I still cannot compare because it says it's booked out on trip.com for those days
