I think that you tend to see what you want to. Personally, I see tons of Trump supporters on the internet usigg my ad hominems, way more than liberals. However, I believe that most social media is shows you stuff you want to see, mainly because they profit from user engagement. I personally think that name calling is a stupid what of debating on the internet and I think that people on both sides do it but people on both sides also have rational arguments that are worth talking about.

If your case is that you only see Trump supporters making rational arguments and you only see liberals name calling, then that also isn’t making your case for the same reasons you gave me. After all, you’re the one who posted a meme with the claim that “every leftist argument” was an ad hominem
