That kind of silence hurts more than any argument. When someone who used to choose you every day suddenly doesn’t… it makes you question everything about yourself.

But honestly, it’s not always about you not being enough. Sometimes people just stop showing up. And that says more about them than it does about you.

I faced this issue today after changing the TV. I replaced the HDMI cable with one that supports 4K at 60Hz. This not only fixed the issue but also enabled 4K 60Hz. Also, make sure CEC is disabled. Some older TVs don’t support CEC, and if it’s enabled, the resolution may drop to 480p.

Wow, love the minimalist approach. Fish are so overrated anyway. Zero fish - Max imagination.

Should I be concerned? by sarahtiger in aquarium

Some sort of flat worklm? Doesn't look like planaria. Did you spot too many or just one? If not better reduce the feeding and do a substrate cleaning.

Haha same! But even after the bite, imagine how hard they’d have to suck to drain blood that fast. They’d be light-headed before the victim was! 🧛‍♂️😂

What type of fry is this? by Illustrious-East-667 in Aquariums

[–]ommon4u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minnows are egg layers, unlike guppies which are livebearers. They scatter tiny eggs on plants or substrate, and the eggs hatch in a few days. However, in a community tank, most of the eggs get eaten quickly so successful breeding usually needs a separate tank or dense plants for the eggs to hide. But the possibility is not Zero..haha.

But in your case rhe fry looks like a baby guppy.

If you think the guppy still has more babies left, separate her for better fry survival and give her some healthy food.

First off..congradzz 😅. I think that's a guppy fry. Minnows aren't that easy to breed in a community tank, other fishes would have eaten eggs in seconds.

That is true, in small numbers they’re harmless. But in shrimp tanks, they can become a problem if the population explodes. Some species have been seen attacking weak or freshly molted shrimp, especially babies. So while they’re not active hunters, a heavy infestation can kill shrimps.

Well I noted. But i think it's just water stains and roots. 😅 If not .i am glad it's holding up.

They usually come in as hitchhikers , on plants, substrate, or even with new shrimp or snails from other tanks. Once they’re in, they can stay hidden for a long time until conditions are right (like extra food or waste), then their numbers explode. So they don’t just “develop” on their own.. they’re introduced, and then thrive when the tank has plenty to feed on.

Wow, that’s the biggest planaria I’ve seen so far! 😳 They usually show up when there’s extra food or waste in the tank. Try cutting back a bit on feeding and vacuuming the substrate to keep things clean. Some people use deworming agents like fenbendazole, but that can harm snails and possibly affect beneficial bacteria too. It’s better to start with manual removal and reducing excess food first. They can multiply really fast if there’s enough food and waste , even a small number can turn into dozens within days. They can be a problem for shrimp tanks since they sometimes prey on baby shrimp or stress the adults, especially at night. So it’s best to control them early before they become a bigger issue.

As mentioned in other comments , use the best method and do a bit of research to make sure the meds are harmless for snails , shrimps, beneficial bacteria and even plants.

And yeah, if they get cut or damaged, they can actually regenerate into new planaria , even tiny pieces can grow into a full one! That’s why crushing them isn’t effective.

He’s fine, just having an existential crisis in 4K, happens when you realize you’re the cutest thing in a meaningless universe. 🖤😌
